Yeah, yeah I butchered an ANH quote.

Just got a question for all the sound-mixers in the crowd: anyone listen to their working mixes with their eyes closed? I was tinkering around with some stuff the other day, just getting the feel for mixing and seeing if I could do it, you know learning, and I noticed that I got a better "sense" for the scene or the flow of the audio and could spot any hiccups better if I listen to them with my eyes closed. I was just cuirous if that was a common technique or not.

    Thanks

For the radio shows, I don't, but for the audio dramas, I almost always do at least two run-throughs with either my eyes closed or the lights off, with headphones to check for left/right glitches.
