Amph "You think you're the only superhero in the world?" - The Marvel Cinematic Universe

Thats rather cool, actually. Was watching Movie 43 on Saturday, and when his segment came up, for some reason it struck me that he'd be great as an action hero- he has the right look and grounded attitude for it. And here we are 3 days later and there he is. Nice coincidence.

 

If there's room for some kind of cantina-like or Mos Eisley-like sequence, I could totally see many cameos being tucked away for recognizable non-primary characters (ie: characters unlikely to appear in their own film or have a significant role in someone else's, thus not having to worry about stepping on the design toes of an "official" movieverse version of the character that might come down the pipeline).

 

Latest rumor is Jason Momoa is testing for Drax the Destroyer in GOTG.

As a huge SG fan, let me say: oh, **** yes!

He was surprisingly good in Bullet to the Head, considering what little he was given to work with. His Conan was a good take on the character as well (even though the movie itself was lacking). And, of course, his Dothraki character on GOT was solid as well.

Not necessarily- the toys could just be including it.

 

Latest rumors are supporting the concept art speculation that the Nova Corps will be in Guardians of the Galaxy (which would make sense given Feige's recent comments that GOTG will be 95% in space) and that we'll probably even see Nova himself.

 

Not to mention it kinda trips up DC even more. First we have Thanos playing out, ensuring it will be difficult, at best, to make the use of Darkseid in a Justice League movie not seem like a copycat of Thanos. Now we potentially have Marvel nailing their version of the Green Lantern Corps in the wake of DC's misfire with the GL movie.

Then again, maybe it will actually help DC use GL if people go "Oh, like Nova?".

 

Maybe the'll drop a crap-ton of money beetween the two of them to do an Amalgam movie. Then we can be subjected to lunacy like Dr. Strangefate and Thanocide...
