A picnic meet?

I'm going to be in Portsmouth on the 8th of June to hand in some coursework. I figured it'd be fun to meet up with some friendly faces and have a picnic on the common, maybe go to the castle as well. What does everyone think?

I just realised that the weather might not be good, if it's bad we could always go to a pub or something.

 

It's not the 8th of June that I'll be in Portsmouth, that's when I'm going home. It'll be a few weeks after that, I'll post a date when I get one.

 

It's July the 27th that I'll be in Portsmouth for the day.

 

Bit far for me, but come on guys!!

 

Also quite far for me, too, though one day I will make a South meet.

I might be able to make it, but I can't be certain.

Portsmouth is a bit of a trek, but one can get almost anywhere pretty direct from London.

 

Just not Southport, the real hub of the world (we filter you through Manchester and Liverpool hehe) ... we don't want just any riff raff turning up now do we. The oldsters here wouldn't be chuffed

Hope this meet gets off the ground, remember we'll still do that Bath one, but I can't make that till after CE, so will push for it more post-mid-July, think Lady Poison is still up for it.

A job can make things tricky. I work weekends and most things are organsied at weekends, which limits me.

But, at least I have money to travel.

Goodness, a meet I can make! I haven't checked this place in ages, but am chuffed with the picnic plan. It must be a miracle/the force/darn good fortune! Let me know the details and I'm there.

I don't think a time and place have been decided.

Portsmouth and Southsea station would probably be a good place to meet up, then we can go to Tesco to get food if needed.

I can't make it. I'm having my computer collected to be fixed sometime between 8:30 and 1:30. I then need to go to the bank to sort my account out. I don't know how long it'll take, but I could be busy all day. Sorry.

Edit:
Change of plans, I got an email saying they're collecting it tomorrow, they'll be collecting it next Thursday. This is after spending the last few months trying to arrange this. I'm really not happy at all about this.

It does mean that I can go.
