Not really. And we're not active enough to care to designate one as I understand.

well, just want to add my 2-cents to try and inspire some fun and positive thoughts :)

You seem to be more active than some others,
    with
meeting threads and event threads that are relatively recent.

our RSA Eric, is very open to helping everyone make this a fun place to visit,
    which many of you do,
    as seen by your posting.

Active Chapter Reps, can be very formal or really really informal:)

Someone there ought to give it a try just for fun and not worry about
building a global-organization capable of taking over a galaxy far far away......or, maybe they could[face_dancing]

If I had any experience whatsoever I'd try it. But I highly doubt I'd be very convincing or effective.

That's the problem. The only people that have been around long enough to know how FFs work don't want the responsibility.

That's pretty much the case. I also think that there's simply nothing large enough to create enough interest among fans to lead to a healthy sized, active group (ala Episode III). That's needed more than anything, really. Giving someone a fancy title now would be nice, but they'd be ruling an empty house.

    hhhhmmmmmm

    let's see,

really really informal (which I posted before)

no need to know anything, just be willing to have some posting fun and encourage others to do same,

which many here are already doing.

FF rules are enforced by the RSA-s, so no stress there...............

    and
Once again, I say.......really really informal.......this Fan Force forum is your meeting/event place,

You know how many members we had when I became CR?
Six. And I took our club and molded it in and for the LOVE of Star Wars, no fancy new movie was coming out . No fun new game or TV show, Just the LOVE of Star Wars. All I am saying for anybody that wants to step up a be a leader is HAVE fun with it. Its not that hard to be a Chapter Rep, trust me. I was one for 5.5 years before being promoted to RSA. And if I can do it on my Love,My passion and my Strength of Star Wars alone, You can too. Its Star Wars people , the thing we all LOVE. And all you have to do is take it and use it for simple things like friendship and socializing and getting to know follow fans in your community. Our FF gets together every month for 1 hr or so and we talk about Star Wars. We have been a chapter since 04 and we are still running strong because of our love of Star Wars and our friendship for each other. We had a new person come to last months meeting witch was great and I think he'll come back next time too. Just reading the post in this thread sounds like you guys dont care if if this chapter/board dies....I care and I am sure that other would care too.Sorry if I sound preachy.

In this group, having a CR has almost ripped us apart multiple times. I just don't have the energy to deal with it again.

Dude, really let this one go, please. If we must have a chapter rep, just shut this board down. I think we have all made it clear we do not want/need a chapter rep.
    thanks

I'm not upset, I just hate to see you try to fix something that may be irreparable. I personally appreciate the fact you put the effort in at all, it's just something that may be bigger than a simple fix.

I'm not upset. But forcing us to have a CR is more trouble than it's worth. We all still see each other, mostly. If someone wants to meet as a group, all they have to do is post and request it. I check the boards still. A couple new people requested a meeting and we did meet. That's all anyone ever needs to do. We used to call it a social. I enjoy meeting new people. But being governed and required to talk and meet on a schedule or with a certain consistency takes the fun out of it.

ok, you have convinced me that you guys have issues.

How you managed to get......being forced and dues,

out of the goodwill, friendship, and encouragement that has been posted here .....is beyond me.

So, please forgive me, as I now have hopes to continue doing what I can to keep Star Wars alive,
and fun for any and all posters out there:)

I still think you owe me an appearance fee for that first meeting you dragged me to.
