When I was little I always thought they would attack me when mum had her back turned. Then I over heard my friends talking about "it" I had nightmares for weeks.

I'm tempted to post a clown face to prove my point but that would be mean to those who are.

 

I am not. However, I watched Killer Clowns From Outer Space as a child, and it did scare me quite a bit. Of course, The Last Starfighter also scared me, so that's no huge feat.

"The Day the Clown Cried" is a very scary movie...in the sense that it sucketh so bad you're astonished it got made.

I have to admit they freak me out, and there isn't much that can do that. I think it goes back to It and the fact that I read it when I was wwwaayyy to young to do so.

 

I'm not so much as afraid of them... just prefer to avoid them. They do tend to be quite a bit creepy.

 

I can't stand clowns-evil creepy beings that they are. I've had nightmares about them (the last one was about six months ago), and I saw IT.
I think the main issue is the fact that they have their true identity covered with big smiles and lots of makeup, which makes them really really creepy.
A couple years ago a clown was hired for an event at work and a couple people had to leave because they were freaking out. I wasn't that bad, well, okay to be honest I was kinda rooted in my spot like a potted plant until the clown passed then I just avoided them until they left... but in the end I survived to tell the tale.

Yes, I'm very afraid of them. Any thing that smiles that much it freaky, even if it is just painted on. Sad clowns freak me out more, I don't know why but they just do.
