Now why the fiddlestick didn't I think of that?? I don't care if I'm sharing a room with 10 people. Right now, it would be enough to make it at all. If I can save money or something by earning my keep, so be it. I think I'll check on that right away. Thank you for the idea...Does that mean I would get in for free, if I volunteered all 5 days?

The info for the hotel rooms for volunteers isn't up yet (Well, I haven't checked today) but, there is a limited number of them...

When you set up your account with gencon, there is a spot to click that you want to volunteer...it's on the registration page for gencon.

My hopes of going to Celebration 4 have been reborn. I hope that turns out to be a good thing. I'm going to try and volunteer. I visited the gencon site and saw that volunteer stuff isn't posted yet, but I'll be checking up on it just about every day. Hopefully I'll be able to go this way.

 

I think that you'll have to have bought your ticket before the info goes out.
There is a very limited block of volunteer rooms and they'll probably go really fast...

It'll be like a Hutt at an all you can eat buffet bar with toads....

Well, I might be able to buy mine on December 1. Right now, the page says the information will be there in a few weeks. I guess Admission tickets will be at the top of my list come next Friday. Might as well take that leap of faith like I did with Celebration III.

Let's just say I'm trying. I forgot my aunt intended to reimburse me for the plane ticket home, which is over $300. So I think I stand a decent chance. I'm still going to try and volunteer. That may be my best (or only) chance.

I think we already had info on C3 by this time.

But, I have a suspicion that it will all start coming together after the 1st of the year with the rose parade kicking off the 30th anniversary.

Well, I just now got off the phone with Housing and for $107/night I've got reservations at the New Otani Hotel & Garden from the 25th to the 29th. I'm on the waiting list for the 24th, since I plan on arriving then. I'll wing it somehow. Now should I make it into the volunteer rooms, this matter will not even be a concern anymore.

For Friday (today, just not by board time) it's 137 days...

autograph program for C4 and if you follow the link at the bottom of this site under
"latest news" you are taken to their site where they are all "30th Anniversary" blah blah
blah...

However, don't get too excited where it says...featured guests...C4 exclusives...etc
Cause it just says COMING SOON!

But, you can sign up to recieve email updates...so that's not all bad.

At least it's some info and announcements...They should start coming out with the info soon.
