Chic, IL CF Picnic & Star Wars Movie Marathon

I've traced each frame of several Ewoks episodes on to paper towels, scanned them into jpegs, colored them with PaintShop, printed them out with a laser jet, filmed them with a Poloroid instant movie camera, transferred it to beta, digitized it to a DVD, added the soundtrack from a reel-to-reel dub to mini-disc and copied it all to VCD.

Oh wait, it's in PAL. Damn.

I had planned on being there the whole day...now....being a girl that just can't say "no" ....I have phase 1 of a two phase Hort Judging project for the local 4-H

So, I probably won't be there till around 7:00 pm...

If so, what time were you planning on leaving the NW suburbs?


EDIT(s): Even if someone could just give me a ride to Dave's house from the Ogilvie train station downtown, that would be awesome.

 

Hopefully you'll get a ride, but if not, it's just another 19 minutes on the Orange line from Ogilvie to get to my stop (and then a 5-10 minute walk).

I just found out I will be in Chicago on Saturday afternoon. I don't know my exact schedule but I think I might be able to stop by, say hello, and wish Dave a fond farewell which would be really cool. Especially since he and Matt Springer and a few other of the Chicago force folks and I go way back to the days before Fan Force - back when the guy from the Seattle Star Wars Society thought that he could somehow turn his club into an international organization and sent me here to meet with them as an "emissary". (I still laugh about it.)

So like - 50% chance I can come by, if that's all right by you. I'm sorry it's such short notice.

'Bit of an update on the I-need-a-ride situation:

I won't be able to leave until around 2 o'clock-ish due to work schedule. So, to refine my requestion... Is there anyone who is leaving (or passing through ) the northwest suburban area around or after 2PM?

Also, for those of you who'll be here for the classic trilogy, you may want to bring your favorite scented bug-repellent.

Also, if people want to bring SW board games (Monopoly, Trivia etc.) there's plenty of space to spread out for games. All my board games are packed.
