Hopefully, Rodgers can play the whole game Monday night like he did in the 2nd half against the Bills. But they put up 62 points and he hasn't played quite up to his standards, based on his last 2 years. That's a good sign, I think. And the secondary has been pretty good in coverage.

But, you know, with this offense, I think is more important that they have a high amount of rushing attempts rather then a lot of yards. Today for instance, they ran the ball 35 times, 33 of them by the RBs. And while they only got about 3ypc, the Giants had to honor it, and that opened up the play action and kept the DL from teeing off on Rodgers. They don't need a running game that's going to go for 150 yard on 35 carries, but if they can just keep giving the backs about 30 carries, regardless of what they're gaining, that's going to allow the passing game to just kill the other team.

It was fun to watch the game with my sister-in-law who is a Vikings fan. She of course was rooting for the Eagles and shot me dirty looks as I cheered on Aaron Rodgers. She also said I was crazy to think he was cute.

 

Yeah, the Saints beat the Falcons, and I think GB is playing better than the Saints were, especially now. They've got some really good momentum.

Just noticed Donald Driver is 42 yards away from being the Packers all time leading receiver. Woulda been cool if he got that this year, but oh well, gives us a cool milestone to look forward to for the first game of next season.

I'm just wondering why AJ thinks he won't get 42 yards in the NFC Championship game.

 

I think that career receiving yards are like most records in the NFL, which only take into account the regular season, not the postseason. For example, Brett Favre's start streak. His record would increase by like 30 games or something if the postseason were taken into account, but it's not. I could be wrong, though.

 

oh sorry, never saw that post. Yeah, those career records don't take postseason games into account. We'll have to wait till next year for that milestone.
