Christmas social gathering

There was mention at the Rebel Legion Leeds troop today of holding a little social gathering on one of the first two Saturday's in December (6th or 13th) in Newcastle. This is open to all FF and RL members.

The idea was a bite to eat and a few drinks (The Cluney was suggested as the venue) and to just have a chilled, relaxed end to the year.

Like I say, this will be a relaxed, informal get together with no frills and expense (in terms of the food/drink!).

People from outside the area are, of course, welcome to crash at mine.

As its the year of the Credit Crunch I guess we'll probably end up doing pubs and Wetherspoons economy menu....

What time would people want to eat, ...We could meet early afternoon and eat later, or eat first then wander (but wandering on a full stomach might not be a good idea!)

How about meet up at 2pm, have a wander and then food for about 6/7pm so it's not so long a day, but lets people who may just want to come for the afternoon meet up still and have a natter

2pm sound good to me, gives me to time to get up there

 

I still suggest my previous plan for global food domination of the 2 for 1 type....its either that or Subway unless anyone has any other ideas

 

I'd rather go somewhere we can sit down and enjoy a few drinks and half decent food- Weatherspoons would be good, esp since they do offers.
