Very sweet looking, some textures and creative lighting could make your model photo-realistic.

The guns are great.. but 30K?? I have to say this is a nice Clonetrooper.. the best to date.. but I always thought of it as a medium-quality one.. but now with a ultra-rez gun. We have one on SF3D now but I'd say it's low-rez. I guess what I'd really like to see is side-by-side comparison with a good reference shot. Just so we can all see how good this cloner is. That's the only way to really make a fair judgement.

    www.theforce.net/scifi3d/starwars/wip/clonetrooper(ANUBIS451)/wip_clonetrooper.jpg

    Not really good example but...
This is the SAME cloner? Looks like the one in WIP has more detail or better textures.

ANUBIS: What I'm trying to say is this is a medium-quality model. First of all... you're really not that much diff. than the reference. Very very close. There's really not that much detail on the reference to replicate anyway. So yours really almost looks like an exact duplicate.

I just think in terms of USE. I think this model would find use in just about every shot you would see except for background. You could get away with a white box with limbs in the background. How many polygons is the trooper? That's what I really wanna know. If it's really really large... with the gun at 30K... then it may be alot of trouble to use a dozen or more at once.

The ref pic I made is good. You shouldn't get defensive. This is what you should be using to judge yourself. Based on this:

1). I'd say maybe the helmet is too tall.. too elongated.

2). Add that detailing at the top of the shoulders on the straps of the chest plate.

3). Right above that there's some notches in the helmet.

4). Looks like the shoulder pads are more squared off at the botom. Yours are kinda rounded.

The helmet is definitely too big for the body, and too tall/long.

I see little details on the boots too.. but you know... that's your call. I think it's silly to add things nobody will ever see or notice. You could go as crazy as you want on detail and it could be maybe poly-reduced later for a large battle shot. Hopefully this image will help with making the belt and the arm plates.

    Ok ZOO,easy...
    I don't wanna hurt you.
The clone have 136000 poly (environ),without the body.
But you're right about the model, i'm not rather accurate than i want.
I work with photos, i don't have blue prints ;)
    Bye.

Ok... I don't wanna be hurt either.

I'll let somebody else interject their opionion too.. but I think? this thing is really big for the level of detail. WHy don't you post a wireframe too so we can see. I'd rather somebody with a more technical opionion than I offer advice on this but it sounds high and inefficient. There are maybe some ways to make it look just as good but about 1/3 the polygons. Anybody good have advice or opinion?

Yes, here is mine: Anubis is making this model for himself first, with as many polygons he likes, and then he is cool enough to share it with you guys.
I mean, most here wouldn't be able to make this mesh anyway, so I think they mustn't ask too much. If your comp is strong enough to handle it: good for you, if it's not, or if you don't like it: too bad, just make your own mesh.

True... but I say this only in a helpful way Dr.Jones. A part of modelling is to practice efficient modelling too. So lets see a wireframe and a polycount.
