    MR does make the best use of cliches, and Baz wanted to show that 'an old fashioned love story' can still be different and yet hauntingly familiar....

    Overall, I loved it, and many ideas were incredibly original... The interpretation of songs was what I was most worried about, but they pulled all of them off! Roxanne and Like a Virgin- either genius or drunk, they both worked...

    Baz wanted to make something that makes fun of and connects to society, so he connected the old setting to the modernness of today with the song choices.

    This movie is great on so many diffrent levels. :D

    Unlike the rest of my DVD collection there are only so many times I can watch this. The emotion trip it takes you on is almost on par with the stunning visuals that assult you at every turn.

    IMO it is very seldom that movies of this calaber come along and hopefuly one day it will be realized as the true classic that it is :D
