I love Community as well. Looks like we need to duel it out.

 

I really like it. Need to catch up on the last two episodes though.

 

It keeps getting better and better. Love the little Abed and Troy skits at the end of each episode.

NBC broke my heart in 2002 & 2003, and I've never fully accepted the network since.

What happened in 2002 and 2003 that broke your heart?

 

A) Boomtown premiered in the fall of 2002, and became one of my all time favorite shows, because of how the approached it: an L.A. crime drama, seen from all the character's POV's-a little nugget of each episode with a different character's perspective (save for 1 episode). The ratings weren't great, but the show could have gone on, and come the fall of 2003, NBC changed the format of the show to more traditional crime drama, and it got canned 2 episodes in.


B) The NBA's contract with NBC ended in June of 2002 (with the Lakers winning a 3rd straight title, the last of the Shaq/Kobe era), and I wish the NBA would go back to NBC..........................Bob Costas was great calling games, as was Bill Walton (though he just left ESPN/ABC). The NBA on ABC is nice, I actually like it (Breen, Van Gundy and Jackson are GREAT in The Finals), but it doesn't compare to NBC..................especially with that great NBA on NBC theme, composed by John Tesh.

Eh, I love Joel McHale but I had a hard time getting into it. 30 Rock on the other hand...

Actually, I don't care either way. So I guess I'd win.

I watch left-winged stuff all the time. Whereas, I'm quite confident Darth_Guy can't seem to stand most things remotely right-wing.

 

I haven't seen it, but I heard that it pretty much centers on dissing community colleges and the people that go to them?

 

The show is ok, not great. Modern Family is the best new show this fall. And, it has the potential to be funnier than The Office. Booom!

On the surface, yeah, but the main character is a guy who got through law school with a phony bachelor's degree. So you could say it disparages higher education in general.

 

Except that it has to be the nicest community college I've ever seen...hell, I went to community college, and I'm jealous of the facilities these characters have access too. Hell I'm going to an actual Uni now, and I'm still jealous.

I love Modern Family. I knew Ty Burrell was destined for greatness when I saw him as that smartass DB in Dawn of the Dead.

 

Yeah, it looks like a well-funded university, actually.
