?Hail Na-Baron. M?lady ?

Feyd turned towards the group where the voice came from. "I hope you all are enjoying the party." Feyd said to the group. In his mind he wondered who each of the guests were under there masks. Did he know any of them, were they his friends, or enemy's.

?I?m thrilled about your performance tonight.? He nodded in the direction of the courtyard arena. ?I had to be here for it. You see, we?re all very eager to see you pushed to your limits.?

"I am glad of that. If the glorious Feyd-Rautha is being pushed to his limits it will be a good fight for sure." Feyd bragged.

Feyd looked the man over, he recognized the voice, but he couldn't quite place where he had heard it before. "May I ask who you are? You seem familiar to me, but I can't place in my mind who you remind me of."

OOC: Still here..was hoping for an update by now..hehehe :p

Sayyadina Denayade' Tus
Atop the Maker and heading toward Mount Idaho

Denayade' stood next to Rees, as her eyes concentrated on the ride, moving with the great beast as he moved, her eyes scanning the horizon for any of their enemies. What would bring them so far out? She found it interesting that it came, with news of the coming of the Muad'dib.

Dena noticed that Rees had bent down, and was examining something on the hide. Some sort of wound. He turned to face Dena and drew her attention to the patch of scorched armor that bothered him so incessantly.

"Sayyadina, the Harkonnen swine fire their lasguns at the Maker! To wound us is one thing, but to attack the divine! They owe us fai for this, and the water tribute will be collected!"

Dena made a face. "Their water is only fit enough to be spilled on the open sands." She said softly, as she looked at the wound. They will be made to pay. Muad'dib will see to that." she said with a slight smirk, as she continued to scan the area towards the mountains.

IC: Abner von Wallach
Harkonnen Party, Kaitain

"I am glad of that. If the glorious Feyd-Rautha is being pushed to his limits it will be a good fight for sure," Feyd bragged.

Abner was the most thankful he?d been all evening for the mask that covered the bemused smirk now spreading across his face. Referring to one?s self in the third person? Stifling his laughter was effort enough.

"May I ask who you are? You seem familiar to me, but I can't place in my mind who you remind me of."

?You don?t recognize me?? he asked in mock offense. ?I?ll have to make a point of leaving a better impression in the future.? In the same half-joking, good-natured tone he continued, ? I?d honestly prefer to see how long it takes to jog your memory. In the meantime, though, rest assured that nothing but friends could make it this close to you. After all, the venerable Harkonnen security forces are monitoring this event. Did they not single-handedly crush House Atreides just recently??

He considered going further, but was stop cold by the sharp pinch to his right hand. Which begged the question of, who, exactly his newfound female companion was. In any case, she was right. He?d probably run up enough irony for one conversation. Hopefully Feyd wouldn?t press the question of his identity.

The more Feyd listened to the man the more he began to recognize the voice. If he could get the man to keep talking he was pretty sure he would be able to figure it out. "If you meant me harm you would not be standing here talking to me. Though I can take care of myself my uncle would rather that I don't kill the party guests." Feyd chuckled to himself. "You are a very interesting individual. I am going to have to remember who you are. Don't tell me I want to find out for myself."

IC: Thomas von Wallach
The Harkonnen Embassy, Kaitain

[blockquote] ?Well, that?s putting a good face on running scared from your original opponent.? Ripples of laughter flittered through the crowd, sycophants tittering at the far edges without even having heard the inciting comment. Thomas, however, merely spit up what little bit of his drink he was able to get into his mouth underneath his terribly difficult skull-mask. Skulls did not have lips, after all. But the Wallach na-Baron found himself grateful for this impediment, for it seemed clear to him that his younger brother had been drinking too much. Thomas cursed under his breath, which caused the buxom, voluptuous blonde he had been trying to secure a bed with some concern. The idea of stealthily crashing a party and concealing your identity was, largely, not to draw attention to yourself.

The Harkonnen heir descended the staircase and found himself a beautiful young woman ? Lina, here name was, Thomas had spoken to her earlier ? to escort around the party. Good. The crowd surrounding the Wallachs had stratified according to politics, but now speculation as to their identity had increased. A mixed blessing. That is, until, Abner spoke once more. ?Hail, na-Baron.? Thomas kicked his brother?s calf, but was sure to keep his hands away from his concealed weapons. He blessed his mothers? training ? he made his posture completely relaxed, absolutely devoid of tension. Quite unlike Feyd Rautha, who was always like a coiled spring. But Abner continued on. ?I?m thrilled about your performance tonight.? He nodded in the direction of the courtyard arena. ?I had to be here for it. You see, we?re all very eager to see you pushed to your limits.? Limits. A political statement. He was eager to see the limits of Feyd?s fighting ability, to see Feyd pushed to them, to see Feyd struggle, perhaps fail. All this delivered with a cheerful tone and a grin.
Feyd had to know. Still, he was gracious. Thomas respected that: Feyd was not a savage blowhard like the rest of his family. And he had better taste in women than his uncle, Thomas noted. (The blonde scowled at Lina.) In that , Thomas thought, Feyd liked women at all. "I am glad of that. If the glorious Feyd-Rautha is being pushed to his limits it will be a good fight for sure." Feyd bragged. Perhaps this would not escalate. Perhaps it would. No doubt there would be inquiry.

And here it was. "May I ask who you are? You seem familiar to me, but I can't place in my mind who you remind me of."

Abner feigned foppery. Dammit, dammit, dammit Abner! And yet Thomas kept his body still. Some of the crowd allowed themselves a laugh. Some applauded lightly. Others were tense.
"If you meant me harm you would not be standing here talking to me. Though I can take care of myself my uncle would rather that I don't kill the party guests." Feyd chuckled to himself. "You are a very interesting individual. I am going to have to remember who you are. Don't tell me I want to find out for myself."

And then he walked off. Thomas watched as Thufir Hawat, the old Atreides mentat, now serving the Harkonnens, came forth to collect the young man. He separated Feyd from Lina and ushered him towards the arena. Upon seeing this, the crowd began to head towards the courtyard. ?Excuse me, Sali,? Thomas nodded to the blonde, ?My partner and I are going to refill our drinks before the bout. You should head over and save us a few seats. Would you like anything

OOC: Kind of unsure about what Dr. Robesper is doing, so I'll just post Amad for now.

IC: Harad "Amad Tasguen" Ginaz
The Wallach Embassy, Kaitain

"I understand, Master," Amad replied with the usual Wallach salute, before turning to his small contingent of troops. "Alright men, you heard Master Brenner, priority one is locating Dr. Robesper. I want call-ins every fifteen minutes, unless, of course, you locate him. We'll be proceeding in a circular pattern with the Embassy serving as the focal point."

He began pointing to his men in order. "You two take the upper left portion, delineated by due Kaitain North and that street there. You two, upper right, delineation also North, albeit until that street. As for you," he indicated the last man, "We'll take the lower portion. You're free to divide your portions into halves to speed things up if you deem it necessary. Again, haste is a must. Now let's move out!"

He smiled as they began spreading out in search of the oddly elusive doctor. It was nice to be giving orders for a change.

IC: Captain Obie
Sands

[blockquote]They were looking for a Guild satellite. Camping for days in the heat and the blistering winds that carried sand into every crevice of your armor and chafed you raw. Disgusting. Telarsham was always plenty upbeat, plenty gun-ho. Sardaukar were an aberration. All they were looking for in this vast wasteland was scraps of Guild wreckage; searching for debris in a desert that devoured everything and left no traces, where solar radiation could send sensors into tailspins -

He was thinking in circles now. He turned to Telarsham. "Need we really travel at night? It's cooler, but the men can't see a thing..."

He hoped desperately that they didn't run in to any trouble.[/blockquote]

[blockquote]Juan began to climb, as he'd been instructed. Rellick was good in these situations: improvisation was an assassin's forté. The Arrakeen contact wasn't far behind him, when another window shattered, and gas canisters came sailing through. Large, metallic...sharp edged. They came through the windows, smoking. They fell towards the hard floor. And when their edges connected, they sent up sparks.

Juan climbed faster.[/blockquote]

Hmm...
Obie says:
I suppose it might be a tad unclear that they're actively searching at this moment. My mistake.
Well there's this:
And then this:
I believe, from the novels, that a "thumper" is a few hundred miles, the distance it takes before a usual worm gets tired. This journey will go easier, because this big worm won't get tired easily, and so there's no lag in between.
All I can tell you is what's there. I can't tell you what your character sees and thinks. But, as there's no indication in my post that the Harkonnen notice anything at all, it seems unlikely that they've given you any reason to believe you've aroused suspicion, huh? :p
