    OK, I wasn't going to start a WIP thread at first, but then I said "What the hey", and did it anyway. SO, here goes nothing:

    Firstly, here are some ref. pics that I ripped form the ROTJ DVD. I have loads more (about 50 I think) and I'll post more of them as I contnue modeling.
    [image=http://i8.photobucket.com/albums/a50/4dstudios/cap068.jpg]
    [image=http://i8.photobucket.com/albums/a50/4dstudios/cap080.jpg]
    [image=http://i8.photobucket.com/albums/a50/4dstudios/cap090.jpg]
    Here's ther first WIP of the roof. It's not much, but I got the little things on the side on.
    [image=http://i8.photobucket.com/albums/a50/4dstudios/endorbunkerroof1.jpg]
    Here's the second. Just added the pipes that run along the roof. I don't think you can see it in the WIP, but the ends are actually covered by a tree that hangs above the bunker, so I didn't have much at the ends of them.
    [image=http://i8.photobucket.com/albums/a50/4dstudios/endorbunkerroof2.jpg]
    Here's the third. Started to add the sides to it.
    [image=http://i8.photobucket.com/albums/a50/4dstudios/endorbunkeroverall3.jpg]
    Amd the forth. Nothing added, just a modification to the roof. Notice that the shape of the roof has changed, because I noticed it was more like a trapizuim (spelling?), rather than a rectangle.
    [image=http://i8.photobucket.com/albums/a50/4dstudios/endorbunkeroverall4.jpg]
    I will be adding the inside of the bunker, but I'm going to get the outside done first. c&c welcome, and infact is wanted (that's the whole point of the thread I guess).

    Hope you likey :D

    Yeah, so do I, what with coursework and all from school. If I finish it, I think it will be slow progress...

    Oh, and thanks Laurence ;)

    ^^Yeah, I wont be adding people or anything into it. I didn't think we were having locations in the next competition...that's one of the reasons I posted a WIP, otherwise I probably would have saved it 'till then

    I think I already said in the contest thread that we're gonna do a location (interior or exterior) non-organic contest, and organic character one, and an animation one.

    You guys... by non-organic we mean non-living. So I'm wondering are you just doing the hard surface modelling or are you getting into the soft stuff like trees, grass, bushes, leaves, etc.

    I wasn't too sure weather or not I was going to do the trees behind it or the hill that it is embeded into. If I just do the hill that is around it, would that be acceptable in the location non-organic competition? If it is, you can lock this topic zoo, and I'll start another one when the time comes, if not, just leave it open and I wont enter.

    UPDATE:
    [image=http://i8.photobucket.com/albums/a50/4dstudios/endorbunkeroverall5.jpg]
    [image=http://i8.photobucket.com/albums/a50/4dstudios/endorbunkeroverall6.jpg]

    Added the detailing on the front of the walls. Took a hell of a long time to work out how it would synch with the other parts of the wall but got it in the end.

    UPDATE:
    Not much new...just added a side part of the exterior. I should get the rest of the sides done quiker because it looks like they are all the same as the front two. Anyway, here it is:

    I think you stlil have the indentations wrong... They shouldn't be extruded so far, but they have an angle to them, like this:
    [image=http://img276.imageshack.us/img276/5594/indent4io.jpg]

    I made this bunker for the Jedi Knight game many years back... Yours is looking pretty good so far.

    Just to let you know, I've started work again on this project. I got caught up in some animation work, and school was hitting me hard with homework, but my mock-exams finished this week, and I started more work today on the control panels in the portch.

    Completed the terminal, and here's the reference:

    Ho ok, now I understand what it is with the reference. Well, it depends of how close you're trying to get. if it's just for long shots, then it's perfect, maybe more detailed than needed. Then if you're trying to make it matches the real thing, for this kind of extrem close-up, it needs more work because it seems off compared to the reference picture. but if your just modeling the building as a general set for action, I would just leave it this way

    I'm not going for too much detail, but obviously I'd like to make it believable. As you can see by the holes around the terminals, it's quite low poly, because I probably wont even use it. If someone else wants to use it, that's fine by me, but these panels that I'm modeling at the moment are so small you wont even see them most of the time, and if you do, you wont know that they're wrong (unless ofcourse you've studied the references like hell, like what I have done). So all in all, it's going to be quite low-res. Carrara isn't the best modeller in town...There are some features that are missing that would make the whole process muchmore easier, but I'll just have to put up with that because I don't know how to use any other apps very well.

    Heck, I don't even know why I'm modeling it to be honest...just for relief of boredom I suppose. I have updated it, but it's probably not worth posting.
