Apparently, the "Prom King & Queen" is banned all over Canada, since it doesn't really serve a purpose.

    Really? That's interesting.

Wow, there's a sign of life in Atlantic Canada.

I'm glad we don't have a prom queen. It's going to make prom more fun.

    He had better call soon!

The guy I'm going to prom with. I saw him at work. Turns out the reason he didn't call was because he didn't get home until 11:30 last night. Fortunately, he isn't working Tuesday! :D

I hope you get him! And if not, prom won't be so bad without a date. Well, maybe I shouldn't say that because I went to two proms and I went with a date both times. But the last time, I would have rather not gone with him, and I would've been happier.

    Bump!

So can you buy comics at Gamezilla? Good chance I'll be moving to Moncton soon, and I'm gonna have to find a new place to get my fix! ;)

I keep meaning to go to Gamezilla to see what their selection is like. I know they have a lot of manga, but I refuse to get too much into that stuff because I already have enough expensive habits to feed. :p

Gamezilla has tons of manga. I'm glad you'll be staying away from it, DoY, since that means less of a chance of you buying the books I want. :p

And yeah, they have a decent assortment of comics. Although frankly, I think Mad City is better. The only reasons I buy from Gamezilla is because they get their books in on Wednesday, while Mad City only gets them in on Thursday. Although Gamezilla is usually sold out of a couple books when I get there, so I end up going to Mad City on Thursdays after all, to pick up the ones that I missed.

The only manga I read is the stuff I borrow from my friends. :p

    I hate cliques.

    What's wrong with cliques?

I don't consider my wall people a clique. The only thing you have to do to hang out with us is be willing to goof around.

    I don't think I have a clique. Mostly because I don't like them.

I was on the wrong side of too many cliques to have cliquey friends.

Man... I was in Charlottetown today, and dropped into Comic Hunter with my brother...

What an amazing shop! It's lightyears ahead of any place in Moncton. They actually had a great selection of indie comics! I haven't seen any since I was last in Fredericton...
Man, I wish I hadn't been broke... they had the first issue of the new Frank Miller RoboCop series, unavailable in Moncton...

Man, why can't we get a decent shop around here? Game Zilla just gets general stuff, and Mad City would be great if they had more space.

I'm going to Comic Hunter on Saturday. Last time I was there, my friend and I spent forty dollars on comics and could easily have gotten twice that. :p

I go to Comic Hunter once a week :D :p

And, IMHO, it's one of the best comic stores in Canada. I've been to ones in Halifax and Edmonton too, and they don't compare at all to Comic Hunter. Weird that the smallest, most redneck (aside from Newfieland) province in Canada would have the best comic shops.

And there's a second one called :ightening Bolt comics like 2 blocks away that also does great business (but doesn't have as good a selection of backissues). And the guy who owns that one sounds just like Kevin Smith, and looks liek Comic Book Guy from The Simpsons :D

I spent a small fortune there this weekend buying SW comics.

But the coolest thing is that Comic Hunter boasts the first clerk not to address me in the "There's a girl in the store and she isn't looking at anime! What do I do?" tone of voice or give me a weird look. :D
