Ever seen, Best in Show, Spinal Tap, Waiting For Guffman, The Mighty Wind? The Office (BBC) Those are mocumentary films that are a comedy disguised as a documentary.

We all got to talking about it at the meeting and it might be fun to do a film about the comedic struggle to make a Fan film. This would be a full length movie that's a parody of the events behind the scenes, and imaginary version of how the filming went.

It'll take some time to get a script together (but not much), and all the events would be exaggerated WAY out of proportion so it?s important that everyone has a sense of humor about themselves and their exaggerated part in the film. You know I?m down for it?anything for a laugh.

For example:

Deadpool will be the manic screenwriter whose life falls apart during the process of 1000 rewrites, and looses his mind as well. Driving the director to madness at the same time.

LDV would be the wannabe director, who thinks this film will be his calling card to
getting him a Hollywood job. Goes completely bald during the production.

Well have several people play the lead character. It?ll be like the drummer in spinal tap that keeps getting killed. One vanishes (think milk carton), one break a leg (literally), one should quit because they got more hours at the Burger Hut, One looses his memory after being hit on the head with a lightsaber. Etc etc.

Hawkgirl will play the assistant to the director and den mother role.

An effects guy who gets mauled by a bear while shooting a forest scene.

A Jedi Master who leaves to stage work.


The director takes a job filming local bands and amateur pornography to keep the production funded. *no there would not be nudity in the film...just implied

In the end the film should be about how friendship keeps the film on it?s feet, and of course the film made sucks..BAD. But in the end all of it turns out ok. (it?ll be the first happy ending I?ve written actually)

Bithlord was dead on?if you go back and read all the fan film related topics in order a lot of drama went down.

I spoke to LDV a few weeks back about the idea of us making a full length Rogue Production film, if tweaked right this could be it. There?s no effects, keep the script simple enough and this shouldn?t be all that hard since it?s suppose to look like a cheesy documentary.

With FBL: V mega trailer filming we should consider filming behind this at the same time for that on set stuff.

In any case I?d like to work on a script?.even if it only ends up in the stories section of the website?.so if people want to add parts to it, if they remember some funny thing about past attempts to get this movie going. Or if they just think of a funny scene or line of dialog. Whatever. Send it my way.

I'm well aware of that one Joey I have it in my computer....this will be quite a bit different from that one.

I figured, just wanted to let you know just in case.

 

Most fan films are people or either people swinging sticks in the woods or screwball parody that's not all that funny. I think the mock-doc hasn't been explored enough and I think we could do a gut busting film.

And even if we never film it it should make a good read.

My sword skills have gotten a bit rusty, but now that I have a place of my own and lots of room I can practice again. Let me know when you need me (call me) and I will see what I can do. Most of my weekends are flexible, though I'd like to help at the State Fair a bit.

Is your place big enough Tionne to practice? And do some choreography?

 

Are you looking for indoor or outdoor? Also what kind of terrain. Behind my condo there is a huge flat grass field and a little playground for the kids. There is plenty of space for practice.

Yes, and plus I want to reshoot the hand slicing again as well. I like what we have, but I know I can do better with the angles.
