Come on someone win already! I don't want my horrific defeat to have been for nothing!

 

I think this is all Hama's doing. He's trying to make me frustrated so I'll withdraw.

I'm going to have to pry Chim away from Guild Wars... with a crowbar.

And Voija... I only need you to drop out of 2/3 of the final round. You can whup me in the other game if you want.

 

Dajuan and I have both been in touch with Chim & Hama regarding their game. It's taking too long, so here's what we're going to do...

All of Hama's prior opponents dropped, and we want him to get at least one game in before the final. Given that, and the situation surrounding Chim's previous game, we're going to open up this semi-final match. Either The_Chim or Connemara may play Hama for the chance to reach the final. We will take the first game result we receive. The deadline will be Sunday night. If no game has been played by then, Hama will move on to the final.

 

Conne and I have scheduled a game for 3 p.m. board time on Saturday evening.

 

I'll have to check my net on vacation Saturday night then. I'm curious to see who ends up in the final 2. Hotel has high speed net, yay!

 

Chim did a wonderful job of totally messing up this tournament for everyone

Well, you have to admit. Whining and complaining until the judges refuse to give the victory to the clear winner on a small tecnicality, then holding up the tourney for 2 weeks because you don't even want to play is the height of childishness.

Just to remind both of you, since this was posted a while back on a previous page... The finale will be a best-of-3 match, as follows:

Game 1:
Same settings as you have all been using to date.

Game 2:
Same settings, but Commander-of-the-Base game type. Will you try to gain control of the center monument immediately, or concede it temporarily to cripple your opponent's base?

Game 3:
Tiny map, standard resources; all other settings the same as Game 1. Not as much space to build, nor as much to hide.

The games must be played in this order; and the first player to win two games takes the grand prize: 1 full week VIP.

And some final announcements... Be sure to record all your games. I will be asking for the recordings, as I have something special planned.

In addition, the winner of the finale will have the chance to get an extra week's VIPship. If the winner should choose to take the opportunity, I'll make myself available for the same best-of-3 format as the finale. Win against me, and you will get the extra week.

Very well then.

Deliberation is undergoing as to just what the frack will happen now. Though I'm inclined to just cancel the entire fracking thing right now. I dunno if that'll happen though so stay tuned to future announcements.

 

I say give me the colours and be done with the stupid tournament. Play a decent game next time, like Force Commander.

As for the extra week thing Riley mentioned, I figured it would be something like that (impossible in other words )

 

Oh dear, I probably passed my bad luck on to the tourney. I am jinxed lately!!

Well, anyway, hi from Montreal everyone. Free wireless internet at hotel! But this laptop has the suckiest possible keyboard for gaming and even though it supposedly has a good graphics card in there, it doesn't seem to run anything well!
