    Yay! Good for you!

You have now joined the ranks of those-who-are-not-sadder-than-me. I'm 18 and I don't even have my L's. :(

It's the "legally" part of Puls' post that worries me...

Oh right, congrats Uric. :D I didn't get mine until I was 19, and even then only because I needed it for work. Can't imagine going back to one of the shoddiest public transport systems in Australia, though. ;)

You have evidently not used Ballarat's public transport system.

...Ballarat has public transport? Other than V/Line?

Yes. Davis buslines, the worst thing on four wheels you are likely to board.

Want to come to my place? Wait, it's a Sunday, we missed the bus. No, the bus. [face_plain]

The "legally" refers to the fact that when I do work on my friends farm, I drive their car. And I used to be the driveway car moving person in an sharehouse I have since left. I was the only other person up who could get housemate A's car out of the way of housemate B :p

Never fear, I am about as law abiding as I possibly can be ;)

And I have had to deal with Ballarat's "public transport" and it had me wishing for Geelong and it's crazy 7 Sunday buses.

I actually tell a lie. One was a territory. ;) But it might as well have been.

Yass is the most horrible place in the ACT. and Lightning Ridge is a cahilling long journey away.

The drive between Melbourne and Canberra is possibly one of the most mind-numbingly boring ones you can take, unless you do it during snow season and take a detour through the ranges. That makes things interesting, especially if you don't have a 4WD. ;)

I'm sure it can't be worse than the drive between Melbourne and Ballarat. Sure, it's shorter, but I've done it so many times my mind hurts just thinking about it.

The trip from Melbourne to Geelong...then on to Warnambool

    ******* MIND NUMBING

Not to be undertaken with less than three entertaining friends, unless two of those friends are called Jack Daniels and Jim Beam.

Geelong to Warnambool isn't bad. At least it is more scenic, depending on the way you go. And from Warnambool you can go to any number of fantastic seaside towns.

Oh, cool. Warnambool is okay, but I love Port Fairy. My sister owns a house there, and I am lucky enough to be able to use it whenever I want. It's such a beautiful town.

Going to falls this year? I'm not, but I know a few people who are. I'm going to Byron next year, by the way. Should be fun. :D

    DAMN YOU. :_|

I'm hoping on going back to Byron Bay for a sabbatical during April (fingers crossed) but I'm missing out on the B&R fest AGAIN. I'm going to give Falls a wide berth, but the Pyramid Rock fest sounds cool...but chances are I'm going to be sitting in my local eating parma on new years so they are but a pipe dream! :p

Speaking of Byron, I wonder if the Elders would be interested in doing a dump about Rex Hunt's behaviour and subsequent bashing in Byron? I feel it is a story and a set of opinions all of AUSTRALIA'S TRAVELLING CHILDREN should hear about!
