    i agree with booty

    the film has to stand alone on it's own merits, as if the book never exsisted.

    which in some small ways [as i discused earlier], it can't thus making it a GOOD film but not a GREAT film.

    Well, I liked the movie a lot, and my opinion is the only one that matters...so there. ;)

    personally i think i would have liked the movie better if i'd seen it before i read the book...i might have still liked it better i hadn't read it those two times within just a month of the movies opening...just cause i'm a tad bit nit picky.

    right on brandon, the only opinion that matters is yours!...sure i just say this cause i full fledgedly agree with you, but oh well....
