Another screw up as KJA attempts to singlehandedly expand the EU beyond its logical regions.

Thats what I thought, Pellaeons character is portrayed best by Zahn.

The Essential Chronology tells how Pellaeon lost the ship, and how he got it back.

Basically, the Chimaera was damaged at Duro during Operation Shadow Hand, and Pellaeon had to abandon it. Later, after the battle of Gravlex Med, he re-acquired it.

It's not a KJA screw up, on the contrary, it's quite logical. As III_Vir_RPC mentionned in another post, Pellaeon is not an excellent leader. He's good, we could even say very good, but not excellent. And at the time, if was facing a hard time. The 'truthful' Empire was too weak after Thrawn and the Reborn Emperor's death, so in order to consider himself be useful, he had to join one warlord. But Pellaeon was not in a very good psychological state during that period. The warlord (I think it was Teradoc, but I'm not sure) took the Chimera from him and probably lost it during a battle against the NR. It was only later, after Pellaeon was promoted to Admiral, that he took it back from the NR at the battle of Oradin, I think.

This was explained in the EC.

EDIT : Hum... Bib got the correct names and events... My memory's not that good, apparently...

Oh, and who was part involved with the EC? Oh yes, KJA. Strange how his "continuality" errors are common, but he fit all that in, eh?

    I 'ate KJA bashers :)

I totally agree with ya, R-Fett ! Bash the KJA bashers !!! (Hum... That's an open provocation... Woops...)

Let's put it another way : KJA's not bad, not at all, in fact he's the GWL of the EU in his writing style. So please be gentle, or the KJA will soon be extinct.

Ummm...the events of Bastion and Garqi occurred after Gravlex Med, so it makes perfect sense that he had it at that time.

This thread brought a smile to my face... When I had first registered to the forums, one of the first things I had asked was ''Where was Chimaera between TLC and SOTP?''. And it was Bib who had answered...

If we ignore the EC there exists the possibility that the Chimera in SotP and VotF is a new ship. After all Zinji named his flagship after the Victory-SD he started his career on and the Dark Jedi Jarred did the same with his Vengeance.

    It would make sence:
After Thrawns death, when the reborn emperor shows up, Pellaeon as loyal imperial soldier returns to the core. Same goes for all of the imperial warlords who again vow loyality. "Captain" Pellaeon is put under the command of Highadmiral Teradoc and stays there even after the reborn emperors final death, where we see him again in Darksaber.
