hum... well lets see. I moved to Abq/Edgewood 3 years ago Memorial Day. I knew no one and met no one I would hang out with at my job. I finally decieded to log back onto theforce.net boards one day and saw the fan force forums. I took a gander and was so excited when I saw Mos Alba on there. I posted that same day about attending the next meeting - which I think was that coming sunday. Man, I didn't even know where Page 1 was at the time - I think it took several posts for me to figure out what the heck they were talking about. Tramway? I knew Century Rio and Coronado Mall and that was it.

Anyways, I showed up at Page One and then these people started showing up. I stood by myself in my vader shirt watching everyone sit down for I think maybe 15 - 20 minutes. I just couldn't make myself go up to them. Then - this is the total truth - Aaron started laughing. It made me relax, weirdly enough. I finally went up to them and joined into the conversation. I was so frigging nervous that enitre meeting and talked out my a$$ most of the time. But I remember laughing it off when Aaron and Wook realized they were in the same English class by reflecting over watching the same porn in said classroom.

But at the meeting was Chrom, Hans (I think that was his last meeting actually), SLA, Wook, PadawanKenobi, Skyra and I think that was it... maybe one of Padwans' friends. I was so glad to find another Harry Potter fan in Skyra as well.

Been involved off and on ever since and I love it. I have tried to leave and just take a break but normally when I make that decision my post # triples in a few days.

I found the boards while surfing the net at my job just after we moved to ABQ in September of 2002. I did not officially join up till March of 2003. Yvonne and I showed up at Page One which was one of the last meetings there! At that meeting there was Varza, Wook, Lor, SLA, Redgek, Skyra and Lindsey (I believe?)

I remember! I traded you a clean Scout Trooper fig that day!

My hetero-lifemate SLAaron turned me on (ooooh) to Mos Alba. I started posting on the boards but resisted the meetings for a while. Started hitting a meeting once in a while, met some fun folks, traded some toys, talked some sh**. Good times.

I worked the toys for tots with the star trek group and met a couple of members of mos alba during that. then it was just a matter of getting time to attend meetings.

My profile says I joined on 11/09/03.

Someone at work came across a Mos Alba Flier at some book store in the Sandias. That was around September/October 03'. My computer was down and so I called Varza one afternoon and the rest is history. I think I scared her. I 've only attened a few meetings since then, but damn, the group has grown from a half dozen to 4 dozen!

I'm still interested in doing some crazy public access show...[face_peace]! Lets get the ball rolling guys.

I was doing a search for the actress that plays the Twilek woman attending the opera in Ep. III. I came to theForce.net and started exploring a little. Voila...I found Mos Alba.

Does anyone know about an alledged connection between Mos Eisley and Albuquerque? A co-worker told me the town shown as Mos Eisley in EpIV was actually Albuquerque photographed from Sandia Peak. Is this tru?

    Hi
Don't know about the alb. rumor, sounds fishy...
But who WAS that Twilek in the opera scene? The hot one in the white dress, right? That's my favorit scene in the movie!

I was sucked in by a flier last August at the Cherry Hills Library which directed me to the Bubonicon. There, I watched fan films and met some of the great people in Mos Alba. I have always loved Star Wars and being a great lover of books, I had already amassed a library of Star Wars literature. But I was never a collector. As time went on, the Force that surrounds us, has taken hold of me, and I have been in line at the Midnight Madness spending untold amounts of money on Star Wars figures, and later on costuming. You guys have been a Bad Influence! And I've loved every minute of it.
