We plan to come as often as feasible. The offer stands if you guys ever make it to Des Moines as well

 

Next time we drive through to South Bend, we'll definitely plan a stop in Des Moines. It is a good midpoint, and we have friends there, what more could we ask for?

 

Hay, anyone going out to Ren Faire this weekend? I'm going to be fighting there on Saturday and Monday. Not sure where we'll be stationed but we'll be the crazy ones hitting each other with huge sticks

YES!! A thread with people around Des Moines! I live in Newton so this is great. I have a chance to meet some of you.

 

We're here We have a meeting this Friday (tomorrow) if you're interested. It's at 7pm at Jay's CD and Hobby on SE 14th. Send me a PM if you need directions. Newton's about an hour from Des Moines right? I'm still pretty new to the area so I don't know it all that well

Unfortunately Mirax, we won't be able to come up that weekend. The aforementioned Jay's CD and Hobby is having his 2 year anniversary that weekend, and Dajuan (and probably I) will have to work because it will be a madhouse. Sorry, we were hoping to see you. have a good time!

Yeah, Newton's not gonna happen Jay's is our main meeting ground, easy to get and lots of free space for us to crash. Can't ask for anything more.

We're bummed about it Ny, but what can you do. We'll try to come up sometime soon though, if the weather agrees.

Hey, just wondering, how close do you have to be to Des Moines to be considered 'close' to Des Moines? because I live in north Iowa and I want to know if I belong on this thread.

 

You are more than welcome to be in the thread. Most of the people who post here aren't even in Iowa let alone Des Moines. Since we're the closest FanForce to you, you'd belong to us anyway. Welcome

 

Thanks! I know I can tell you ahead of time that I will not be able to attend any meetings because I'm only 13 and my parents will never drive me farther than 15 min. for anything SW related.
