I plan to come to the meeting as well. Although because I'm coming from the 280 I think it will be easier for me not to swing all the way out to the Metreon first.

So we meet at the cafe at 11:30? Where abouts do we find this cafe?

my sis and i are down to see "the island" after the meeting.

 

The cafe is pretty small, so I suggest meeting at the bottom of the brook, at the "pool" under the metal arches. We can go to the cafe later, as it's on the way to the Yoda statue. Bring cameras people! It's beautiful there. 'Hope the weather stays nice!

I can make this meeting (for a welcome change!), but I am confused. Are we all going to meet at the corner of Howard and 4th at 10 am and then figure out who is riding with whom?

Looking forward to seeing everyone, and hearing all about ComicCon!

 

Hey all, Just wanted to say hey. I had a great time at comic-con, and everyone was so nice I just wanted to say thanks, even though I was there for only two days. Hopefully I'll see all you guys this weekend in the presidio. bye

 

To avoid confusion, meet at 4th & Howard only if you need a ride (mostly East Bay). Otherwise meet at the Letterman Institute at the "pool".

 

If anyone's going to the meeting AND the Santa Cruz trip and would like to get an unlimited ride pass, bring $$$ tomorrow. The cost for four passes at Costco is $75.

 

I know I probably talked to most of you in person, but as a reminder those of you that went to Comic-Con, to please burn 6 CDs of pics and/or video so we can all exchange them. Of course, there will eventually be a master copy on our (hopingly) sooner than later new and improved eventual web-site. (Something else to talk about.)

Hum,it might not be a realistic expectation to store 'master copies' of photos on a web site as those are usually large high res files and take up quite a bit of space and bandwidth. Considering we will probably be using a free web hosting service, space and bandwidth usage will be very limited. If you want a photo at high enough resolution to print and have it actually look good - a free web site is not really the place to store such files. However, lower web resolution photos of all our events for people to browse will be a very cool thing to eventually have

I think the Letterman center is a fun place for the meetings during the summer months. But in the winter I'd imagine indoors at the Metreon is easiest. Just my 2 cents

I'm sooo jealous! I am definitely gonna be there for the next meeting. Mat - glad to see you like your Natalie bag - it's from the Philippines you know!

 

We can have the next meeting there as well, so those who couldn't make the photo can be in it. Eventually, everyone can be there to make the photo complete!
