Hey everyone! So, I forgot to bring it up at the crazy con, but I wanted to do more costuming since I'm bored at the moment with the one I had been working on a year ago and wanted to do a new one. Both Amy and Yvette seperately expressed interest in doing an event like one last year (sadly, I couldn't go, stupid work for stupid credit bills). Basically: conference room, sewing machines, food, fun.

So here's what I'm aiming for:
    Burien Library
    June 28 (last Saturday)
All day (starting not sure, when does the library open, Yvette?), with a trip to a fabric store if anyone is driving to the library and is willing to transport.

I'm sure there's something we all could get going on. I'm hoping that working on (and finishing?) this one will promt me to finish the other one that is still in pieces in a bag. :p Even if you have nothing to do for yourself, you can come and help speshal peoples (hi! [face_batting] ) do something.

    What I want to do:

    Nomi Sunrider!

    [image=http://www.starwars.hu/pix/enciklopedia/vilaga/karakterek/jedi/nomi_sunrider/sunrider.jpg]

Let me know if this will work for everyone. Nothing's been set in stone, so there's time to change date and such.

    Other stuff:
Super crazy week for me. Inventory at work, meaning my schedule is all wacky. I probably won't be on at all Thursday and not until late Friday (inventory overnight).

No news on the website. It's still a work in progress so far. I'm getting antsy, but I have no patience whatsoever. [face_blush]

Hope everyone's doing well! I'm listening to a CD right now that's been described as "someone's nervous breakdown". It's so good though. No appreciation, I swear. And no it's not Shakira![face_shame_on_you]

I went to book the room and it is not available on the 28th. The Boulevard Park (just south of Sea-Tac and just before Burien) library is open available on that date. The room is the same size and everything. Get back to me soon so I can reserve it if we want it. :)

Ok, that sounds fine. So venue change: BOULEVARD PARK LIBRARY. Address and such to come when I'm more awake.

    I got it. ;)

    Boulevard Park Library
    12015 Roseberg Ave. S.
    Seattle, 98168

I got 12-4:30. We don't have to use it for the entire time if it isn't needed. Just wanted to make sure we had enough. :)

    Bring munchies? :D

Just uping this so it's bold again.

We've had to switch locations. Check the address above this post for the Boulevard Park library. It's in a residential area, so it shouldn't be too hard to find. It's near Yvette, so PM her for the best directions.

We have 12-4:30 reserved, so if anyone would like to shop before hand, I'm up for that. I'd really really like to get the fabric for Nomi (and some munchies :p). I would also like a ride if anyone is able. [face_batting]

    See you there!

I don't recall Padme or Leia wearing armor in the films...
    LOL!
I really have no clue though.
A stormtrooper costume would almost be fun since I could drive R2 around and no one would be the wiser. the only thing is, I don't want to become a walking container. I leave that up to R2. :p

Still looking at the costuming book! No luck! And no, no gold bikini's for me!
If nothing else, I'll bring some R2 parts to work on.
Yvette, have you seen any of the ANH Leia costume patterns that Simplicity came out with a year or two ago? I know that Pacific Fabrics has a ton of older patterns sometimes.
