Hi. Just wanted to say that I'm also new here, and I also like your story.

I have just one comment about the last bit. Wes is almost certain to recognize Lara/Kirney, but the fourth pilot (Hobbie?) has a good chance of it too. The Rogues and the Wraiths worked together for several months. And whoever it is also has to know that Donos went to Corellia on leave for some reason, so they'll be looking for it.

Derisa: Thanks for the reply! I agree that it is something of a stylistic quirk for Allston to refer to characters by their surnames, but I think it's significant that he only does it for certain characters, and more importantly, that he is very consistent about it. Donos, Phanan, and Janson are always referred to by surname, whereas Lara, Wedge, Kel, and Face are always referred to by their first names. In each case, the name used subtly affects the reader's perception of the character, and I think Allston does this purposefully.

Again, this isn't saying that you must (or even should) follow Allston's nomenclature exactly... I just think it's something worth considering.

I read this a while ago. It's really good. I really like Myn/Kirney or Lara of whatever her name is.
