Locatoin clarification

I have a question about location cards. Do they effect both players? My main question concerns Belly of the Beast and cards like that.

'When the character battle step starts, choose an untapped character in that arena, tap that unit'

Can both players use this effect, or only the person that deploys it??

Same things with locations like 'Dagobah System'

I guess what I'm trying to ask is does the card only work for the person that deploys it?

 

Hmmm I've always played it that it effects both players unless stated otherwise. I'm not sure what to do about Belly of the Beast in this case because it would seam logical that you would only get that ability.

 

Q99213, you missed one important component of the Belly of the Best Location... the Character is chosen "at random".

Regardless, if the card doesn't state "one of your units" or "one of your opponent's units" then it applies to any/all units. In the case of this specific card, the random Character unit to be tapped will be one of yours or one of your opponent's.
