    Windu's sabre was yellow in the Jedi Power Battles PS1 game. That was released between TPM and AOTC.

    Correct. I also believe that there is any inscription on his lightsaber that reads "BMF" for bad mother..... I believe that Lucas was a little unsure at first at the request, saying "maybe" when Jackson requested a purple lightsaber, but obviously he gave in.

    He said "you might get purple", but Jackson was not that hopeful. He only discovered it when George showed him some final footage before the movie release.
