mmm wal-mart

it's like, 1:00 in the morning. i needed milk, cereal, and shaving cream. so i went to wal-mart (behind the theater) on last tuesday night to fetch these items. i remembered reading something on tf.n about the star wars novel being available at some wal-marts. so, i wandered over to the books section when lo and behold, there it was. well, sort of. not the del rey novel, but the scholastic book based on the movie. this is for young readers, but that didn't keep me from grabbing it. it has cool pictures too! so when i get to the register
*beep* "SALE NOT ALLOWED"
Ignorant 3rd shift cashier: "What the?"
*beep* "SALE NOT ALLOWED"
Ignorant 3rd shift cashier: "Oh, I can fix this."
So she does some kind of manual override.
Enter description "STARWARS"
Enter price "3.94"
Ignorant 3rd shift cashier: "Thank you. Have a good night."
mwahahahahahahahahahaaaaaa!
i didn't even have to SAY anything! she just sold it to me without argument!

and yes, i read it cover to cover in like, 5 sittings, some sittings as short as 10 minute toilet breaks at work.

it's good. it's soooooo good!
