Mod Status Changes

This thread will serve as a place where all mod status changes will be recorded. This includes mod promotions, manager promotions, changes to the admin team, or any time a mod steps down, whether it be just from one forum of multiple or entirely. New mod promotions will continue to be noted in their own threads, as has been the custom for years, though they will be noted here as well.

This first post may also be expanded at a later date to form some sort of chart keeping track of such changes. Until then, changes will be noted in new posts and the title will be edited to reflect the change.

 

Raven has stepped down from the SFF forums. NYCitygurl will be the sole mod of SFFBC, and The2ndQuest will add SFFFTV to his list of forums.

 

Raven's not a mod anymore? For the first time in how many years?

 

He was promoted on March 31 2002.

Strilo is no longer modding the PT and Music forums.

Shanerjedi (formerly ShaneP) will step in as a permanent PT mod.

halibut will be taking care of the Music forum on a temporary basis.

 

8 years is plenty. It's time for them to move on.

Will Shane and MS be looking for a new co-mod for PT in the near future? It would be great to bring in some fresh blood to the movie forums.

 

I don't think it works that way.

 

I don't see why it can't. Didn't DJK give his intention to step down a few weeks ago? That would open up the opportunity for a new mod to join Shane.

 

DJK will be stepping down at some point in the near future, yes. And I expect we'll be finding someone else to take the second PT mod spot, but I don't know what the time table will be on this.

Dark_Jedi_Kenobi has officially stepped down. At the current time, shanerjedi/ShaneP will be be the sole PT mod.

Hardly. That DJK would be stepping down in the near future was announced in the October 13 MSU, and after discussion it was determined that PT had slowed down enough that one mod could sufficiently handle it. If that changes, or Shane decides he needs help in there, we'll look at adding a second mod back to the forum.

 

DVeditor has stepped down. For now, he will not be replaced and AdamBertocci will be the sole FanFilms mod.

 

Congrats to Barriss_Coffee on her promotion to Manager!
