Ohio New house!

Well, I did it. As you probably guessed from my latest brief absence here, I finally bought my first house and got the keys.

Now the only problem is... work. LOL I think it'll be a couple of weeks yet before I can move in. There's a whole lot of painting, ripping up old flooring, and whatnot going on. What a mess!

Just wanted to share my news I'm super excited!!

The two houses that we've bought have both been in "move-in" condition when we bought them. I think we got pretty lucky.

 

Painting can be fun, though.
Stripping wallpaper sucks, though.

 

DEFINITELY the American dream! It's a great neighborhood where people still fly Old Glory, even in the dead of winter. Just the kind of place for me.

And thankfully, no wallpaper to tear off! I do have painting, painting, more painting to do... bleck.

LOL.
There are cool things like sponge painting roller sets that you can make a neat accent wall if you desire. Something you should look into.

Ummm...no.
To much to do for CIII and then for Dragon Con.
But I'm happy to help with advice, having done lots of painting in my old house.

 

Ugh. T Minus 10 days (or so) and counting til I can move in.

Have painted living room, dining room, basement, my room, 1st coat on kitchen.

They finally delivered my washer & dryer.

The floor peeps came and tore up the kitchen floor. I'm waiting on them to put in a sub-floor and lay the new floor down now.

Then I can get Stohl carpet cleaners to come out and do the carpets.

And THEN, maybe then, I can move.

*sighs and slumps on the nearest couch, exhausted*

This is Mav's padawan, Adyn Wanted to say hedddo to the OH FF and I am so happy that we are both in FF (Finally!!) Never met a more fun group of peeps! So... Hello!!

Also, must say congrats on the Mav-house. That is sooo sooo sooo cool. Been a long wait, I know, and must feel just wonderful to finally have a little corner of the universe to call your own!!
