    If there were other Jedi in the universe besides Yoda and Obi-wan, then Yoda wouldn't be telling Luke that he will be the LAST jedi once Yoda dies and they would not be hiding from the Empire because if they knew that the Rebels were fighting against them and that Luke was going to face Vader and the Emperor alone, they would not hesitate to come out of hiding to help Luke.
