What a sad weekend! Attack of the Clones actually landed a bit lower than Apollo 13 (which has been struggling in IMAX).

I see AotC:TIE being taken out soon, but it may return to the IMAX at another time. Pity we can't say it lasted an incredible year long release (but it was close!).

Less than a month away from playing one year straight? Oh bugger, let's just call it a year!

Attack of the Clones was in zero theaters Monday.

It was an excellent run, but I guess it's over.

    :( :_|

It was good while it lasted, especially since the IMAX run was supposed to be over around Christmas.

Here's to hoping that at least one IMAX theater brings it back on May 16th. :D

Nothing listed for AOTC:TIE, but not all the Easter Monday figures are in yet.

Other films like 'Spirited Away', still showing in a few dozen theatres, was listed on BOM as zero screens as well.

Wait until tomorrow, then we'll know for certain.

Hey, no WAY did it only make $300 on Wednesday. I bought five tickets myself (which cost $50) and there was at LEAST seventy five people there. Don't know if it was the last time they'll show it, but it is down to just one showing per week. But it was fun to see again. :D

Of all places, they have an IMAX theater at a Jordan's Furniture in Massachusetts...go figure!

AOTC will be playing at the IMAX theater at Jordan's Furniture in Massachusetts at least through May 7th (on Wednesdays only apparently)...maybe if they have an email address or something you guys could ask if they could keep it running so you'll get that "one year anniversary" you're looking for. The two guys who run the place are kooky enough to make sure something like that happens. Heck, the store is more like an amusement park than a furniture store...it's insane!!!

That sounds great :D It'd be cool if they could do something like that.

    AOTC:TIE Thursday figures :

    $260
    -17.2% / $260
    $8,481,801 / 175

    AOTC:TIE figures :

    Friday
    $1,059
    307.3% / $1,059
    $8,482,860 / 176

    Saturday
    $1,000
    -5.6% / $1,000
    $8,483,860 / 177

    Sunday
    $471
    -52.9% / $471
    $8,484,331 / 178

That's a weekend total of $2,530, only on one screen. Not bad considering that's more than AOTC:TIE made for the whole of last week :) Good increase from last weekend.

    IMAX TOTAL AFTER 26 WEEKS : $8,484,331
    AOTC FIRST-RUN US CINEMA TOTAL : $302,191,252
AOTC INTERNATIONAL CINEMA TOTAL : $337,381,454 as of 24th Feb 2003

Man! That's saying something when one person can give an eyewitness account that the national gross figures are wrong!!

Not sure exactly what is says, but it's sure saying something!!

It says dont rely soley on Box Office Mojo as teh final word.

Not every studio micro manages the box office data for every theater on a daily basis, especially after the film has been out for over six months, and is earning less and less.

Over time, movies earn what I like to call "stealth grosses." These are the box office totals that are added quarterly instead of daily. If you follow box office stats for a while you'll sometimes be surprised to see a sudden change in total earnings. Even for films, that you haven't seen reported on for months. That's when these accumulated earnings are added to the total.

It could jump a bit, but at this stage it's not gonna be huge money. You may even find that the unusually strong Friday could've had some of the mid-week figures added to it.

Nothing for AOTC:TIE today, so it's either finished or wasn't shown on any screens on Monday, like last week.

    Guess we'll find out tomorrow.

you should get something...the IMAX at the furniture place is playing it Wednesday.

How could the gross for last week be that far off??? $10 @ 75 people seems to be just a LITTLE higher than $300, methinks.

sorry you guys don't have the chance to see it anymore, but if any of you can make the drive to natick, MA for wednesday you'll get your chance to see it one more time! ;)

Still nothing for AOTC:TIE for Monday, Tuesday, and now Wednesday.

Bear in mind it could still be running, but not making enough to appear in the top 50 or so you tend to get in the daily figures. I think that's the case.

I hope that's the case. It'd be sad if it finally left theaters for good. I know that it'll happen eventually, but I'd like to put it off as long as possible. :p
