Somehow, Karen Traviss manages to write Anakin even more like the hero we wanted in the OT, while making Ahsoka the whiny brat we all expected.

The novelization to the Star Wars "film" that began a cartoon that managed to rewrite the Clone Wars for no apparent reason.

It was as if a million voices cried out about a children's cartoon series and were never silenced...

Obviously, Ryloth was too remote for an effective demonstration but we'll destroy your Clone Wars EU soon enough.

"You go to [the Clone Wars] with the [writers] you have, not the [writers] you might want, or wish to have at a later time--you can have all the [canon] in the world on [Wookieepedia] and it can still be blown up." - Donald Rumsfeld, adapted for context.

There's already a shortened Star Wars version of that quote, in The Return of Tag & Bink:

Sim Aloo: Something troubles you, My Lord?
Emperor Palpatine: Oh, it's nothing. It's just my apprentice -- he showed so much promise before the accident. Sometimes I catch myself wondering of what might have been.
Janus Greejatus: Well, you fight a rebellion with the Sith Lord you have, not the one you wish you had.

Anakin sheds tears for his clones, Jabba worries for his son, Ahsoka hisses at 'prey,' and Palpatine gets indignant about the Jedi Order's lack of compassion; yes, this is Clone Wars, and no, you didn't pick up the wrong book, this is totally Clone Wars- hey, where are you going?

At least in novel form you can't hear Ziro's voice.

A novelization of what should have been a telemovie of a series that was unnecessary, unwanted and inferior to earlier works.

Never actually read this book, but one time I saw a Wookieepedia quote of the day, and could just tell who the author was based on how Obi-wan and Rex sounded- then checked, and yep, it was from the TCW "movie" novelization.

The Jedi Council kisses Hutt ass for political gain, Anakin fights Dooku for the second of 4365 times, and at one point, Anakin was located on Ventress.

The Jedi must get a character we will never see again back to his father who we will see many times afterwards.

    And Charlemagne19 takes another one.

And, for the hordes of you that simply can't get enough of TCW...

Years ago Leia's "father" served Obi-Wan in the Clone Wars through blood, sweat, tears, and many manly bro-hugs.

To help with Fate of the Jedi...

Outcast - The terrible war criminal exiles the Jedi hero because Jedi children (whom we don't really know or care about because they've never had their own stories) are going nuts, and clearly the best way to handle Jedi going nuts to make sure the most powerful Jedi can't investigate it.

Omen - I have a bad feeling about this series.

Abyss - And once again, one of Luke's former girlfriends is introduced as a villain to be killed - Abyss must refer to his dating history.

Backlash - Jedi and Sith and Witches play "King of the Mountain"

Allies - In which we find out that even with a Sith planet, Evil Supernatural Beings, and Govermental chaos - slavery in the outer rim is still the biggest problem in the Universe, even though it's never really come up as a big theme in any of the books since the Phantom Menace novelization.

Vortex - That swirling sound is any sense of fun or joy being sucked out of the Star Wars universe.

Conviction - Luke Skywalker regains some semblance of intelligence, but let's ignore that for a really boring episode of Law and Order: Crazy Jedi Unit.

Ascension - The one where Luke Skywalker sends the sith girl whom he is protecting to the evil cave where they tested sith apprentices, instead of, you know, keeping her by his side and teaching her.

Apocalypse - Now that all the characters have become fools, Author Michael Bey brings you the only thing that matters: EXPLOSIONS!
