I just found this AWESOME piece of software. It's called Orb. It lets you stream all of your media & documents from a home computer to the internet. You install an app on your home computer, which indexes all of your music, pictures, videos, documents. Then, you log in from any computer to Orb's website, where you see all of your files. You can play the music and videos directly from the web page, and it will stream them out to you. You can also watch live TV if you have a TV tuner in your computer. No firewall ports to open, no remote desktop needed. Orb does all the work.

It also works for mobile devices. I'm watching The Dark Knight on my phone right now. It has a very slick interface, both the full website and the mobile version are very easy to use.

It's been a long time since I've been this impressed with a piece of software.

I think that SlingBox is the best thing to compare Orb to.

I use Hulu a lot, but am not familiar with Sling or Joost. Looks like Sling has many of the same networks/shows as Hulu, what's the difference?

Sling pulls content from other providers (CBS, ABC, Hulu, etc).

I've been using Hulu a lot lately to catch up on episodes of The Office. Also to watch a few old(ish) SNL clips. That Andy Samberg is pretty freakin' funny.
