I know that some of you have your pics online so that a link can then be made to them to share with others.

    How do you do that?
    What program do you use?
    How much does it cost?

    Thanks.

I use Yahoo for my photo album. It's really easy and free (unless you want something premium).

Yeah, Rosie's right. I use Yahoo! too, and it works awesome for hosting your pics.

    Actually I'm surprised noone's brought up Imagedump.com.

Yahoo has a set limit on how many people can view pics I think, so after so many have looked at a particular picture, the site will go down for a while. At least, that's what I've thought. Imagedump is better I think. You can put all kinds of pics on there, I don't even think there's a limitation. Just a suggestion.

I don't believe Yahoo has any such limit. I've never had that problem with people looking at my pictures.

Another one is Photobucket.com. I know some friends who use that and it's also free and easy to use. :)

EDIT: I know Yahoo does have data limits on personal webpages, but I just looked and couldn't find anything like that in the photo album rules.

Yeah. I had another person suggest photobucket.
I'll have to try one of those. I have people on the Mara Jade costume thread that want to see what I've done. ;)

I also use Yahoo for hosting my pics and I haven't seen anything that says what the limit is.

Do the other sites like ImageDump have pop-up ads that appear when you visit their site?

Imagedump has no popups, at least, not that I'm aware of. Then again, I usually use Mozilla Firefox as my browser, which has an awesome pop up blocker.

From an e-mail I sent to Yahoo about their size limits:

"Currently you have unlimited storage space for your Yahoo! Photos Account."

I know that if you were to create a Geocities website (free site through Yahoo) you get 15MB of space to use. But with the Yahoo Photo's it's unlimited.

Yahoo! used to have a limit on how much space you could use on the Phot Page, it was like 20MB or something like that, but they made it to unlimited space over a year ago. (Or sometime around there.)

But with Yahoo it is sometimes a pain in the butt to link to.

he he. I just downloaded it...

    (For our group)

I'm making a DVD with photo galleries from past events, our cheesy fanfilm and more, ending this past January, so the comicon photos will go on next year's DVD.

(Is that okay, Kim that I downloaded the pic?) If so, do you have more that you'd like to share?

That reminds me, where/who can I e-mail photos we have from the Musuem trip last year as well as toy show/comicon/dinner this year?

    Yeah. That's fine.
I should put up some more pics so that you can get to them.

I got our pictures from Pittsburgh back...the developing is fine, but they (Wal-Mart) really butchered the photo-CD picture quality.

Rite Aid is still the best place (State and Snow Rd) around here. Have them sent out (don't do the 1 hour) and get the photo CD. Prices are decent, and they have specials all the time.

Man...I need to get a digital camera!

Don't mean to steal your spotlight Krash, but it just reminded me that I need a camera as well. So...

What's the specs and how much?

    Go for it Will!

I've got my eyes on a 3mp camera with a 3X zoom, that Em and I say at "store that shall not be named" for around $100. The down side is, Em has a really good film camera...but everyone in my family is really going with the digital stuff!

That's a nice costume, Kim. When did you finish it? I don't think I've ever seen it before.

You should get my Eye-Q camera... only $30, and it is both a digital camera AND a webcam

Yeah...but all the pictures (Zahn) from that camera came out really blurred. $30...you get what you pay for (no offense)
