If they cant get vader they move onto the next guy wearing armour. Not just the chicks either, the guys are the same.

 

If they can't see Vader, they settle for a Tie Pilot.

Most can't tell the difference....

I'm not the most adamant member of SAFF, but I feel I have to agree with his evilness on this one, if it's a SAFF run function or event we are Star Wars, we represent International FanForce, not Harry Potter or Star Trek etc.

If it's a joint function organzied with other fandoms I don't have a problem with it, but we are SAFFand not SAHP.

 

This seems to have caused quite a bit of confusion since it was brought up. Lets clear it up shall we?

SAFF IS STAR WARS. FULL STOP, END OF STORY ! IT IS THE SOUTH AUSTRALIAN FAN FORCE...FAN FORCE !

If there is a HP team, they won't be representing SAFF, they will be representing another team entirely, it can be discussed here on some level like the 501st did this year, there's no problem with that, but a SAFF entered team will be representing SW. Hope that clears things up.

SAFF is Star Wars
501st is Star Wars
Billywigs is HP

They would all be representing there different groups, just like the 501st did at the relay for life this year.

Personally i will either be flying the 501st / SAFF Flag... hehe i even have a project on the move for next years

My point being -
I come here to chat with friends on various topics & hopefully most of them have a relevance to Star Wars or our charity work with the Star Wars universe.
I DO NOT come here to read or listen to people organise events with a Harry Potter theme....
Simple & blunt but that's the way I feel. If they want to ramp up Harry Potter activities - take it elsewhere.
The 501st organised their stuff primarily on their own forums.

 

that's true, there was a little talk here however concerning the 501st too, but having said that, the 501st are a SW costuming, charity group also like ourselves. A good relationship between the SW groups in this state is important. IE: SAFF, 501st & Rebel Legion.- the common denominator there= Star Wars

As true as that is, it is still important for it to be spoken of here, being that SAFFers are involved. We need to know which SAFFers are doing which form of costuming.

Sure, most of the planning should be done on a different HP based site (BillyWigs for example) but still SAFF needs to know which SAFFers are doing what.

 

That is true. If Saffers are thinking of joining another team we need to know about it as soon as possible.

 

excellent. Mow that we're on the same page could we please get a list of the SAFF members who are thinking about or have decided to go to R4L09 in HP. Nothing will be final, just an estimate to help us count our numbers.

 

I was going to leave it til later, but now is good. I would think most people would know whether they want to be on team Saff or HP. Lets have 2 lists. . One for each. SP and I team Saff, who else ?

 

The only reason i said now is so that each team can get an estimate of how many SAFFers they have and how many people they would need for a team.

and yes, even though i was arguing for HP, i will be representing SAFF at relays in SW. i am happy to do other events in HP but at the moment i would like to stick to SW for Relay myself.

 

It would have been simpler to just make a list of which SAFFers will join TEAM SAFF.

First in best dressed. If they don't put down their name one would assume that they're not attending or part of the Billywigs crowd or 501st.
