"nd HEY... I'm not an un employed geek. Im a STUDENT geek. Theres a fine distinction to be made. "

    /agree

    To true Kosure.

Good to hear that he was not an asshat at this one. Also refreshing to hear that he did bring his fist as well.

BTW-The ROTS soundtrack does not disappoint. :D Bless you P2P networks.

Still with his hitting... I hope he goes to prison some day and I am turned into a man and end up in the same prison and then I'm going to tell him he looks real purty.

Awesome work getting the T-Shirt shot!!! WONDERFUL!

I'd guess, that from the various reports of his being a wang at not only his last Chicago appearance, but I've read the same on other boards, that either LFL or his publisher told him to tone his attitude down if he wanted to make the MINT he must have gotten.

Glad it was a success. Still, what would you guess the numbers were..."all seats were filled" can be 10 if there were only 10 chairs.

Sorry I missed it, I missed it for a BAD day at work.

And Goat, it's a good soundtrack if you walk away being able to hum one or two (new) tracks after a listening or two...and I have to say, it's great "movie music" that I think will probably compliment the film, but overall, it doesn't have the great memorable themes of say: V, VI, I, RotLArk, Jaws, Superman. Even Episode One had some very memorable themes. II and III are rather forgetable IMHO. My fav NEW music is probably in the first track with the military march style...but that's Williams' forte it seems.

    Bosh

He did respect my spoiler-free-ness, which I really appreciate. I'm going to have to get crazy spoiled at CIII anyway, I just thought I'd have to start early.

This being my first fan event, I just wanted to say thank you to Mr. Stover and the Chicago Force. I had a great time chatting with fans before hand and can see how hanging out in this community could be wonderful. Phil, I sat behind you with the long beard and the white shirt.

    Thanks again everyone!

Oh, and I'm not unemployed. I'm just generally healthy enough to have a lot of sick days left at the end of the school year. (I think I'll have a fever coming on May 19 too.)

THere were about ~35 chairs set out.
    2 sections / 12 & 20 seats plus benches.
All were filed and there were as many people standing, surrounding the event area.

Mr. Stover arrived about 15 minutes before the scheduled start time of the event (12:30pm). We provided him with an escort to the event area. He spoke for about 1/2 hour: reading the preface of the book and taking some questions from the audience. Then everyone lined up to get their books signed. He was very nice and spoke with everyone. We took a few pictures with Mr. Stover. Then the Chicago Sun-Times reporter interveiwed him quickly before he had to leave to catch his flight.

Now I need to bury the book so we are not tempted to read it before we see the movie.

The representative from Borders was also nice enough to make a little announcement about the EP 3 Charity Premiere & Children's Memorial Hospital Foundation.

and btw....you ain't seen nuthin till you have seen Obi-Wan Kenobi arrive....in costume....on a bicycle!

Lionel arrived for the booksigning wearing his costume (all but the robe)on his bicycle....it was so awesome!
    Talk about dedication! Thanks Lionel!

The one thing that I come away with about Mr. Stover is that Martial Arts is his main drive in life...probably even above writing...i am sure it influences everything in his life....just as we all have #1 passions in our life that creep into our everyday conversation....

Stover really loved the shirt. He says he plans to wear it during the tour.

The signing went so well, we gained a couple new members of the book club. There were also interest in the charity shirts. Too bad I only had the one to give to Stover. Well, those that wanted one said they did plan to come to a future event or stop by the Line next month.

I picked up the photo with Stover and his shirt last night...it is also on picture disk....so I will have to send it to Haz or Gina to post...or maybe Gina has some photos of that too...

You should have been in the photo Phil...I thought of that afterward...I am scatterbrained for a Jedi...I did not focus!

    Well...I do look rather "official" don't I...
    Feet together..
    back straight....
    eyes straight ahead...
    focused on the task...
It was a dirty job...but someone had to do it...

When I am not at my paying job...I thrill to menial task that require no thought what-so-ever...

Matthew Stover appeared LIVE on FOX & Friends (NY) this morning (5/18) wearing one of the NEW CHICAGO FORCE T-SHIRTS! :D
He was being interviewed remotely from Chicago. I believe he was at NBC.

    Well, that makes me happy....
When I gave the shirt to Phil to give to him at the booksigning....I really doubted that he would ever actually wear it....I guess I was wrong...

matt stover sadly revealed to me that the CF T-shirt is the only shirt he owns. he usually prefers going topless about town.

    so that explains it!
