I've realized that I haven't posted in my old fan art thread in so long that it's locked. I have some new stuff to post, so I'm making a new one. My old thread can still be seen here for more art.

An ROTJ ghost scene painting that is still currently missing a background (I'm most proud of this one so far by far!) EDIT: BTW, if anyone has an idea for a good background, I'd like to hear it... I really don't feel like doing the Endor forest.

ShrunkenJedi: I love your use of color. You have some very interesting technique. I can say with utmost honesty that your approach to fanart is very unique, and I especially like your "mirror" pic. Keep it up, man!

I've been studying and practicing how to color in line art better, so this is one of my first tries at a new technique. (Art is mostly a hobby for me, but I absolutely love doing digital artwork!) I'm very enthusiastic at the way it tured out

It would be great if you could un-blur the Welcome To Tatooine a bit. It hurts my eyes.

 

Well, ok... I couldn't really unblur it, but I could essentially recreate the lettering before it was blurred.

I've still been working on getting better at line art and coloring techniques, although my computer's down for the moment so no more for a little while. But before it crashed , I made this little egotistical, hedonistic piece for my desktop, which I guess I'll share. It's a cartoon of me... hosting a little get-together with Frodo Baggins and a teenage Anakin Skywalker.

Here's something I actually started last year and never finished until now, for the holiday challenge... I was making the characters more than outlines, but it seems to work better artistically this way.

It's about time for another update, and this time it's a couple of somewhat random, fairly personal non-SW desktop-sized pics.

First, a digital illustration of a scene in a particular fantasy book... (For anyone familiar with Mercedes Lackey, it's one of the last scenes in Magic's Price... you'll know which one I mean.)

Second, a fanfic poster I just did for myself. I wrote the story a while ago, but I'm in the process of going over it again and making it better in preparation for a repost. That being the case, I felt like drawing a poster for it in the size and style used in the TFN fanfic archive.
