Since the thread skiing (from last winter) is locked, it is time to start a new one for this winter.

Wintersports will start soon (I hope weÂ´ll have enough snow...) and everybody is invited to talk about happenings in (all kinds of) skiing here. Hope this year more people participate than last year....

I feel so happy, soon the season is here, and thank God that we have eurosport here in Ireland too!

And it's just 90 days left to Salt Lake City!!!

ofcourse skiing rules!! but I prefer to do it myself than watching others. I will keep an eye on the swedish hopes in the olympics though, we want gold!!

And I think that our chances are better than they were in Nagano. Not in ski jumping though.

I think that this first competition gives us a good hint of what the rest of the season will be like. It was a really good german day, with Ackerman and that other guy in nordic combined too.

Those damn norweigans... I was a bit worried after the race yesterday. But not anymore! Alright! Go Per!

He's from my hometown BTW... Some of my friends have met him while they were skiing (or rather, they caught a glimpse of him as he overtook them) but I've never been lucky. Maybe this winter... *crosses fingers*

Well, my sister met Janne on november 6th or so and his wife was already expecting the baby soon back then.... the baby must be late. Hope it is healthy though! I wanna see Ahonen fly again soon! Well, until he returns there is another Janne (Happonen), so I can cheer for myself
