The post a pic of yourself thread is a complete bust... that thing was at over ten thousand posts. That just needs to be started over from scratch.

 

We don't know if or when we are going to be able to fix the img and url tags. As I've said elsewhere, it's all due to a xenForo bug that caught everyone by surprise and that mangles up the URLs when you try creating a custom tag that uses them. We can try fixing some threads by hand, but it's probably worth it archiving some image-dependent threads and starting anew.

Icons are staying the way they were on the temp forums/are now.

 

Comic book cover thread was taken care of in record time.... pretty badass.

 

Well, at less than fifty pages it's a small-ish order for an iconic thread. With two mods going at it, the work went fast.

... Also, I chipped in because it's my favorite JCC thread and I am hellishly biased. It was more of a labor of love.

 

An iconic thread that is worth it.

I'd think the active threads would have preference over the archived ones.

So bizarre how three years just vanished into thin air.

 

I wish DSWMS could be pruned somewhat. Maybe only a few entries need to survive; so that we have a slimmer 'greatest hits' edition that I can add to.

 

Yeah, it got kind of goofy when it was changed "the official star wars and stuff" thread... lost its unique charm, kind of.

 

It's not quite as bizarre if you had seen the boards before certain fixes. I guess it probably got overlooked on accident when we were doing repairs.

Nice idea, and I see your point, but it's not really fair to delete content that isn't against the TOS.

Another other option is to start a new DSWMSGH thread here, and cut & paste the content you want kept from the old one into it, fixing the markup along the way (if you can even see the original links without quoting the post to grab the markup).

 

That's what I meant, yeah. A greatest hits edition. The old version is so large and cumbersome.
