Well, since Han's thread's replying thing didn't work,(and my own glory :p j/k) she asked me to help her out by starting it back up ;) Here's what I'd like to add to her message: Well, since we have a SW Gaming Club and a Book Club, it's fitting that we have a SW Music Club! ;) Her message: This thread is for those of you who are addicted to the Star Wars soundtracks and know them all basically by heart. Talk about a favorite theme, cue, motif...whatever. Or if you found something hidden within John Williams' wonderful scores, share it with us. Or, maybe you don't know the title of a certain theme/cue/motiff...share it with us. In this thread...we're all about the sountracks and misc. Star Wars music! :D

Thanks for helping me out, Crazed. I appreciate it. :)

And here's what I would like to add:

I'm very addicted to all of the Star Wars soundtracks. I listen to them almost daily and have them all memorized to the point where I can envision the entire movie in my head when I listen to one of them. It's really quite scary.

My favorite soundtrack is ESB and my favorite theme is the Force theme... :)

Yes, it is quite scary *insert scared face here* ;) I own the ESB (concert and movie versions), AotC and TPM: UE soundtracks...that's all :( my favorite soundtrack would have to be ESB, and I like some of the themes *cough* Love Theme from AotC(corny name, huh? :( )*cough* from AotC too...From the advice of Han, I'll probably be getting RotJ if I can find it somewhere...I don't listen to them day and night and have the scenes memorized ;)

Ok, let's get this thread rolling. Here's the first topic:

There have been rumors swimming around the internet about people wanting to change the ANH score so that it incorporates the Imperial March so that it connects the PT and OT together. If this would happen, ANH would be totally redone...including getting rid of the Imperial Motif that is used only in ANH. Now, I don't know about you, but I love that motif and I feel it should stay there and have the Imp March be introduced in ESB. What do you guys think?

For thos of you who don't know what the Imperial Motif is...you can hear it when the sandtroopers are searching the desert for the droids. It is played on the tuba in that scene. I will try to hook up a link to it.

that's so stupid! if they want them to fit in, they should've thought about that before messing up the PT...and anyway, if they replaced the Imperial Motif with the Imperial March, it will sound so stupid...hearing the March when the sandtroops are on Tatooine? That would sound hidious! Why do they care about this stuff?! Stop worrying about the things that don't need changing and fix the stupid prequels!!!

hehe, is this your ploy to turn us into a 'don't change the OT to fit the PT' army?

normally I'd say don't swet it, because GL would have to be stupid to change ANH, but the fact is he useally listens to the majority of his fans, that is why he put Jango and Bobba in the PT.

Lets just hope the music doesn't get changed, it's perfect the way it is.

Well, Lucas was like that back then. I don't know about now, though. We still don't have the OT on DVD. *sighs* Oh well, this isn't the thread for that.

I agree with you, Crazed. It would sound very out of place for the Imp march to be in that scene as well as all the other scenes were it it played. Imagine the Imp march being played when the stormtroopers are escorting Leia down the corridors of the Tantive IV. *shutters*

some of my favorite themes are:
    1. Duel of the fates from TPM
    2. Ending theme of ROTJ(special edition)
    3. Love theme from AOTC
    4. Ending them from original ROTJ (the ewoks singing)

Cool, another fan of Yub Nub! That song was a classic...heck, I even know the words translated in English. But, the victory celebration from the SE is still better.

The Love Theme from AOTC is also a very nice piece. It rivals Han Solo and the Princess sometimes from ESB. And Duel of the Fates is awesome in it own right. Crazed, do you remember when we were singing DotF waiting in line to see AOTC? That was hillarious!

I agree, Wesmin. The Arena Battle is a good piece. Too bad it was torn apart to pieces for the film.
