    Hi everyone.
I just noticed at Toys R Us at Chapel Hill (so I'd assume that it would be at other ones as well) that they have the lightsaber/3 figure packs for $10! [face_shocked]

No, Cindy, I didn't see any Mace ones. The ones at that particular store were Anakin's and Dooku's.

And they also have 12" figures for $10.

Just thought I'd pass it on. ;)

They've lowered the price on those up here as well...there are some good buys out there (just in time for the holidays!)

What I want is Anakin's starfighter...and more of the Clone Wars figures.

Oh, of course now they lower the prices. After I spend $20 on the pack from Kay-Bee Toys. Just my luck.

    No it's not a conspiracy.

*whispers to Don just loud enough so Candii can hear*

At least they don't want her to know that it is.

Unless you've already opened them...take it back, and get the better bargain at Toys R Us!

Yes padawan_schlicher, I know drk-lady-of-the-sith nearly had a heart-attack when i told her I open most of my SW collection...but it happens.

Besides, those of us in The Jedi Knights of Cleveland go through ALOT of lightsabers...if you take my meaning sir!

No, I haven't opened them yet, but I bought them at an outlet mall and my aunt took the reciept back to Cleveland with her. And, yes, AJ, I do open my action figures. You can't really play with them that well when they're still in the package.

Well, that'll happen when you have Cindy in your fanforce.

Tell me about it, she's the first person I've seen use sun djem (damage or destroy weapon) in one of our sparing matches!

There's really not a whole lot of point to keeping them in the box unless they are the more rare ones or packeages really nicely (like my 12" Leia in slave gear with Artoo). Too many people collect, so they won't be worth all that much. Not like in the old days. ;)

So I take mine out, too. :D They're not as much fun if they remain in the box. They display much better out of the box. ;)
And I love my 12" Luke and Leia on speeder bike set :D (thanks again Cindy for that find, BTW ;))

I agree, nothing against people collecting them...just not the ones who only look at it from the toys "value" in terms of re-sale, and not sentimental value.

Some of my most prized SW items are stuff that doesn't have muc value in the collector's market...but they're special to me, because of how I got them.

I still open some stuff (if i buy 2). I don't collect for sake of their dollar value. I have a pretty good idea of what everything is worth, but that's not why I collect. And if you think they display better out of the package, ask JediCandii about my apartment!

I got the Obi-Wan vs. Vader duel aboard the Death Star and the Han and Chewie hangar escape last year for Christmas and have managed to keep them in the box. I've asked for some of the Unleashed figures for Christmas this year and plan to take them out of the box (along with the 2 mentioned above) and display them on a shelf above my computer desk.

Kim, thanks for looking there for me... I guess I can skip that one and look at the one in CAnton. (and maybe in Rolling Acres if I feel daring enough... [face_plain])

And you're welcome, and thanks for getting the Han figure for me! :)

Oh, the Luke on the Tauntaun figure is $31 at Toys"R"Us too.

Well, that'll happen when you have Cindy in your fanforce.

I went to the Toys R Us in Rolling Acres yesterday... and they have a lot of Ep. I stuff in the clearence rooms. No figures though. (But I did find a Jango Figure that I don't think belonged in there)

The one in Montrose had the same old stuff.

I'm going to look at the one in Canton on Friday.

Yep, all in one. It's by Apex, but there are other brands out there. We already had an Apex player, and it has been good to us, so I made sure we got another one like it.
