Here's a basic wrap-up of the task results and the points situation.


WEEKLY TASK #3: The Murder Mystery

The ultimate task was to fool the overall JC Community. Seeing more voted for Quentin than they did the real killer, Noel, the task is therefore a success.

With all 1990 points bet, that brings your balance so far to: 3980.


Other Tasks:

Additionally, you recieve 500 points for the Review, and another 500 for the week in review.

As it stands, you have a total of 4980 points. However, because of the overall success of the Mystery, you can have a bonus 520, ending up with 5500 points.

You now must spend the 3000 for colours for a day for everyone. Please specify which day you would like them.

Also, please come up with a list of other "rewards" you would like, and I'll let you know how many points it'll cost.

I'd like to be a moderator. How many points for that?

How about for Admin?

I'd also like a date with Natalie Portman.

How about airfare to Paris? And 5 days and 4 nights in Paris Hilton? Whoops, in the Hilton in Paris.

I'm thinking like 100 points for each of those.

 

i don't know about being a moderator, that seems like a lot of work, but i would like purty colors for more than one day.

oh, and the trip to paris sounds good, let's run with that!

 

The next WEEKLY and DAY TASK will be posted tomorrow, so you all have a day off to recover.

So in the mean time, think of more things!

We really haven't done all that work just for colours for a day, surely?

Some suggestions:

1. Skip a Weekly Task for 3000

2. Skip a Daily Task for 500

3. Everyone's a winner for 5000

4. Some fresh air and water for 100

5. Invite an outsider into the House for one day for 2000

6. Post outside the BB forum for one day for 4000

7. Buy someone who got kicked out back for 5000

8. Colours for the rest of our stay here for 4000

AGREED! But we get to keep our VIP status for that day so we can still post here (and not have to have the "1 post per minute" rule )

 

those are good suggestions Casper, although i'm fairly certain epic won't go for some of them.

also, we can skip any task we want really without giving up any points. we just wouldn't get any points on the daily tasks, and the same goes for weekly tasks if we simply didn't wager any points.

 

I know. But I actually meant being able to skip the task and still get the points.

aha! well then the task better give us more points than we spend.

 

Think of all the work we won't have to do then -- that's worth something, too!

 

yeah it is, but if we don't get more points back than we spend we might as well just skip it

it's actually pretty hard to think of "rewards".

i definitely think we should get colors for the rest of the week for 3000 points though, not just for one day.

 

We should buy the task that would lose us points if we failed it, then see if we can still gain something, and balance it a bit.

But I chose completely random numbers, by the way.

Imagine this: a daily task is worth 500 points if you succeed, and you lose 200 if you fail. You buy it for, say, 400 -- so you gain 100.

Am I makin' sense?

 

yeah, you're making sense. like i said, it's just hard to come up with good rewards. i'm content just hanging out with you guys

What about admin icons? I wonder how much it would cost to gain access to the mod's private board.

 

I like the colors idea as it is, just so long as we make it a day that EVERYONE can do it, so it goes unwasted. Or maybe each individual could choose whatever day suited them best?
