Place your bets folks. How many New Years Resolutions won't you be making for 2007? Or worse ... how many are you hoping to accomplish?

    Only got a couple.

Loose some more weight - I want to be around 75-78kg by the time we go to LA on Feb 27, I've already lost 5kg, only got 5 more to loose.

Get some more Sleep - Being a shiftworker my body clock is out of whack at the moment, usually I'm ok but this time around it's taking too long to get back into a decent pattern. So I'm making some changes to my lifestyle and hoping that this will help.

That's about it for this year. Not too many and both are realistic, for a change.

    * Finally get my rock climbing wall built in my carport.
    * Go back to Brunei Darussalam for holidays.
    * Go back to Dubai for holidays.
    * Setup a new marine tank, complete with stingrays and sharkies.
    * Cut down on the alcohol...or abolish alcohol from my diet fullstop.
    * See Manchester United win the FA Cup

Gonna be an expensive year for you then SoE :p

    My inclinations for resolutions:

    - cut down on my stress/anger levels
    - get more sleep by disciplining myself to go to bed before midnight on weeknights and getting a better quality of sleep on the weekends (IE: no passing out in awkward positions!)
    - look for employment that involves interesting work
    - make better efforts to maintain contact with people
    - get my license
    - continue going to the gym
    - get married!

The last one should be easy enough, I have plenty of people who will no doubt make sure I don't forget to go to the registry office :p

I never get around to making new years resolutions. 'Cause they're never new. I know what I have to do already. :p

The ammount of money I'll save from cutting down on the drinking will cover my holidays.
That's about $200 a night, 3-4 nights a week, of cash saved straight out. Woohoo!
Brunei is a good step in the right direction...it's a dry country. I forgot about that last time I went there and they tried to tax me for bringing in a bottle of wiskey. :(

Hooooolllllyyy ssshhhheeeeeeeettt! SoE, how many liver transplants have you had?

When I decide to dry out the well, I'm usually saving $100 a weekend. With shouts. Hence my 'expensive' comment. Obviously you're used to a higher style of life than I.

Resolution #1: get married. Which I'll have achieved in just under 48 hours from now.

    None...yet.
Hence I wanna quit. Besides, it's getting less and less fun. Saintheart may recall my experiences the other week for his buck's night :)
...wait...that was so worth it. 300 bux later and I wake up shivering in a hotel bathroom floor with my hair stuck to the tiles. Great night ey Mike? :)

Obviously you're used to a higher style of life than I.

Maybe. Who knows; dosn't mean I'm happier though ;)

Yeah awsome enough to have a 30 hour hang over.
Anyhoo, another thing I must do next year is join the Army Reserves...and seeing how that turns out, I might go fulltime.

You'll have to move to England, the US or Canada to find them. They fled there after being taxed and free-traded out of the country. (Thanks Johnny!)

Of course, there are still plenty of film jobs here in Australia, and you can choose from any range of crappy "reality" TV you like.

Oh, hang on. You're a writer. My bad...

England's probably the best bet, IMO.
There's so many there I met one by accident and he invited me to his house for a drink. Amazing stories.

    * Find a new job. I've done my 10 years with Woolies and I think it's time to pick up my LSL pay-out and run.
    * Find a man. Hang on,scratch that. I've done well without one for this long. Make that, don't find a man.
    * Be more sociable.

Perhaps he refers to nefarious and dastardly resolutions he has made in the past!
