Speaking of busy . . . I'm going to disappear now, as I have an axehead to fit to the haft before tomorrow, and what with being out at a folk session tonight, my time is somewhat limited.




Oh, damn. It's Freshers' Week. The pub will be crawling with drunken idiots, and we'll not be able to hear ourselves think. Guess I'm going to have to sing extra loud!

Freshers are not necessarily idiots. However, Freshers who get roaring drunk and then hassle me in the pub are idiots. Just about everybody else in town has the sense to leave the musicians alone, and particularly me. Chances are that my boyfriend will have to be imposing at some point this evening.

 

Ah. Just tell them there's cheap beer in such a such a pub.

It ought to leave them sniffing away at other parts of town.

 

Whew! Saved (sort of) by the Students' Association, a.k.a. the Union, putting on some sort of major party-thing last night! This meant that we could actually hear ourselves.
