I thought Keane had the equalizer. Looked onside.

And now they have it. Omar with the goal.

And another goal waived off. Wow. Could be 4-1 right now.

They should have had a second one just there. Terrible call. It was a 50/50 ball.

Yellow card make up, but that's not really a consolation.

Keane deserves a goal. He's been great at attacking today.

Another penalty awarded! Keane's been a stud. Can he get his goal?

Edit - Yes! Nicely done, and well deserved.

Should have been red on the PK. Glad Keane got his goal.

And who could have predicted that final score line?

    Lol @ Inty :p

I'm glad Donovan addressed the issue of the beard and I'm relieved to know he's going to shave it off.

Stop me if you've heard this before, but now we see how different this LA team looks next year. We know Beckham is moving on. I wouldn't be surprised to see Gonzalez go to Europe. Donovan could certainly move as well. Juninho could go home.

And then, who knows who comes in. I think Frank Lampard wants to come to LA, but I don't think LA want (or need) him. I think LA really want Kaka to replace Beckham, but is LA where he wants to end up? If LA have two DP spots they can fill, do they go for one of those two and then someone a bit different - like Bocanegra who needs a better home than the Spanish Second Tier and would help keep USMNT fans highly interested in the Galaxy?

Also, I LOVE Drew Carey's take on the final PK via Twitter:

How come you can't punch a guy in the dick when he's about to score even though his team is already ahead? #rulechange

I'd like Kaka and Bocanegra over Lampard.

Even with only Becks moving, that's a big change for the Galaxy.

XOLOS! Club TJ gets a 2-0 road win to take a 4-1 aggregate win and their first top flight trophy. Amazing feat for a club with 1.5 years in top flight and that was only founded in 2007. It's a result only seen on Playstation.

Need to find a list of yanks to win top flight trophies this year. Gotta be a large list.

I am really frustrated that the Timbers traded Eric Brunner. He was a solid defender and one of our best players. Shaking my head at this one.

DarthTunick ... so as to not derail the Streak thread, here's some info on the FIFA Club World Cup

Each Confederation (North America, South America, Europe, Asia, Africa, and Oceania) send the winners of their confederation tournaments (CONCACAF Champions League, UEFA Champions League, etc), as well as the champion of the league of the host nation (This year, Japan) to make up the participants. The format is thus:

Oceania Champion plays the host nation in the opening round. The winner advances to the quarterfinals, where they are joined by the champions of CONCACAF, Asia, and Africa. Those winners advance to the semifinals, where Europe and South America join in, and then progress to the finals. Everything is single elimination, and the winner is crowned World Champion.

It's not a great format, but it is a cool idea. I just love the idea that the LA Galaxy (or any other US team) could win enough to earn a match against, say, Manchester United, in a tournament to crown a World Champion.

It's a young tournament, but hopefully will grow.
