    I don't understand this episode.

    - If it's a prequel to the Ryloth Trilogy, why is Cham Syndulla joining forces with the Republic, given that that was the whole point of Liberty on Ryloth?

    - If it isn't a prequel, then why is Katuunko neutral? Didn't he join the Republic in Ambush? Oh, unless Ambush actually takes place after all this. God, this is starting to hurt my head.

    - Fortune cookie... I guess they've given up trying to come up wih original messages, then? What's next, "It's better to be safe than sorry"? "An apple a day keeps the doctor away"? (could work for a new Nuvo Vindi episode...)

PS: If they had spelled it "If there's a whill, there's a way", people would be fainting.

I believe it's a prequel to both "Ambush" and the Ryloth trilogy.

Only now I realised that's Katuunko's throne room with more two toydarians.

I weep for the diplomats and negotiators in the Star Wars galaxy. Must be terrible having their assignments continuously stolen by senators and senate representatives...

I think it makes sense, for now. It's a Jedi's job, but since they are at war, the senators take the lead.

A senator is the representative of a planet or system in the republic senate. Why would they act as republic representatives for 3rd parties?

I really don't understand this issue with Toydaria. If this is before Ambush, and Toydaria is neutral, how can they send forces to aid master Di without losing their neutrality? If it's after Ambush, well, then it doesn't make a lick of sense.

    We were told we'd be getting prequels and sequels but this is getting me really confused 8-}

We know that Imagun Di is going to die already.

Thanks, Filoni. Any dramatic tension that the episode might have had from seeing a Jedi who we don't see in the PT films is now lost.

Seems like a such a pointless episode. Bad enough we had 3 prequel films to deal with, now we have prequels to prequels! [face_laugh]

I guess Cham's views on the Republic could be explained away if the Republic isn't able to send aid in this episode....which would go against the Jedi Fortune Cookie.

EDIT: Gry, don't even get me started on the unbelievably idiotic politics in the Republic, everyone is apparently nobility and an elected official at the same time. Not to mention they apparently have different noble titles depending on the episode.

And it's hilariously unrealistic to have Senators like Padme and Bail run off to find adventure.

Probably the only time they accurately show Padme's real job is in the beginning of Hostage Crisis.

Indeed. The timeline of this series is getting so convoluted that by now it's impossible to make sense of it all without some tridimensional roadmap.

I have a feeling they won't really give us any explanation as to the placement of this episode in regards to Ambush and the Ryloth Trilogy. They'll just leave it to us to make sense of it all. Somehow.

Well, the Republic won't send aid, but Toydaria surely will.

I know they like to (need to?) re-use models, but let's figure out if they could have replaced Ryloth and Toydaria with other planets without affecting the plot whatsoever.

Also like to point out to fanboy that Drew Z. Greenburg is the supervising writer.

The writer is Stephen Melching, who wrote Ambush. Probably taking an old idea from a two-parter Melching had pitched, and they changed it to include Ryloth I'd bet.

EDIT: If Toydaria gives the Republic aid prior to the events of Ambush, why would Dooku/Ventress attempt a treaty and not simply invade as retribution for a neutral planet assisting a Republic planet? [face_thinking]

BTW, was I the only one yelling back at my TV during the Supply Lines preview trailer?

On an all new episode of Star Wars, the Clone Wars!
    Remember Ryloth?

    "Yes."

    Remember Ryloth?

    "Yes, you idiot!"

Well, it looks kinda like this.

    "No it doesn't!!"

    Yeah, that.

"NO! It's a tidal lock planet, with one half in perpetual freezing darkness and the other in perpetual blazing sunlight! Only the twilight zone is barely habitable in underground caverns!"

And the only one who can save it, iiiiis Jar Jar.
    "HallOOooo"

    [face_plain] CLICK

My point exactly. Unless they are very clever about it, there's no way to properly fit this either before or after Ambush.

Maybe Yoda and Katuunko's deal only involved building a base on Toydaria, and not sompletely joining the republic.

Yeah, I double-checked that and it doesn't appear that way from the Ambush episode guide.

Anyone else find it hilarious that one of the best episodes from the show is when Padme was actually doing her job?

Ughh, well, I'll try to remain optimistic that Jar Jar and Hermes at least have a somewhat important role.

I don't actually know what to think about this episode. I love the fact that Toydarians and Neimoidians are back, and the whole Ryloth battle, but I fear Jar Jar will be over done

Yeah, the whole thing was about Toydaria joining either the republic or the Separatists, cause they couldn't safely remain neutral anymore. In the end Katuunka says: "You have my faith. Toydaria will be honoured to host a Republic base. My people are at your service." That is a pledge of allegiance, and if after that oath he doesn't send aid to Republic forces on Ryloth, then he has no honour at all.

The only thing that might be awesome is Lott Dod.

He's not Gunray-level cool, but should still be fun.

Remember guys, the Neimoidians aren't necessarily Separatists at this point. ;)[face_beatup]

    Gahhh....

I don't know about Dodd. That image of him raising his fists towards Bail in the trailer didn't really inspire much confidence about his role in this episode.

If this episode actually follows the political cluster**** of Senate Spy, we could be facing a "perfect storm scenario".
    - The neimoidians aren't separatists
    - Jar Jar antics
    - Ryloth isn't tidal locked
    - Neutral Toydaria sends aid to the Republic, while still remaining neutral
    - I'm-a Gonna Die, you all know it, but we'll try to keep the suspense up anyway

Yeah, I fear this as well...but wouldn't it be shocking if he actually did his job without engaging in his usual clumsy antics?
