What about some sort of contest regarding the upcoming Star Wars movies? Obviously we've all heard that they will be original stories not based off previous movies or the books, but surely that doesn't mean we can't have fun by throwing around our own EU ideas? What if each thread that wanted to participate came up with a well-thought-out movie idea, starring characters they love and ideas that they are well-familiar with?

Now, this may seem like a pretty tall order. I know, I know "We don't have script-writing experience! We wouldn't know what to do!" And so on. I've been blessed by hearing of the National Novel Writer's Month challenge, which is to write a 50,000 word novel in thirty days' time. This can easily be applied to scripts and in fact they have a 'script-frenzy' in April for anyone who wishes to participate.

Why does it fit us? Many of the fan clubs are partially role playing. This means that people regularly come up with ideas, cooperate in putting together working scenarios and organizing all the ins and outs of doing so. Clearly there is a lot of imagination and of course, love for Star Wars. Why not give people the opportunity to shine in those areas that the EUC isn't directly aimed at but is certainly richer because of?

So, I understand that this will take 'A LOT OF WORK' and that may scare some people off. But as I'm sure you've all noticed, we're online and every post we write is a bit of imagination, writing skills and quick thinking, all of which is useful for writing a script. Now before I editorialize my idea into a quivering mass of nothing I'll post and see if there's any interest.

 

Okay well, I'm the idea person. Now who wants to do the actual 'making it happen' part?

Happy New year to the EUC and the Senate, with the end of 2012 we are now looking at the end of the current term of the esteemed Chancellor Sinrebirth and the magnificent, loyal and extremely good looking Vice-Chancellor Bardan_Jusik. According to the EUS Constitution new elections are to take place on 15 JAN of this year. I would ask that all Senators and ministers report to the Senate so that we might begin the process of filling the leadership roles for the next term.

In June on the temp board?

Maybe its a different election that I am misunderstanding but if you look in the posts in this thread from late September there was definitly an election of some kind underway.

 

Last term (when I was Chancellor) was to end in June but was extended to September due to us being on the temp boards. It was decided then that this term would be necessarily shortened to bring us back on track with the EUS Constitution which requires elections in January and June of each year.

When your club reaches the requisite number of posts (250 I believe) then it may send a Senator to this esteemed body. Until that time your thread may send an ambassador to represent its interests, though they will have no vote.
