i'd have been disappointed in everyone else if they hadn't gotten pippen before then.

Meh, Pippen wasn't that great. I mean, for greats.

Pippen was certainly a worthy player in his own right... but his value skyrockets when paired with Jordan. I'm not sure there's a duo in the game I'd put ahead of them.

pippen was in simmon's top 24 list. if someone who knows basketball that well thinks he's that great for a great i imagine he's probably better than you're saying yak.

anyway, i'll update the list tomorrow.

I always used to play as Pippen and Rodman on NBA Jam. They were on fire.

Except Rodman was a Piston back then. And not on NBA Jam.

Well, actually, if we're talking about Tournament Edition, he'd have been on the Spurs.

    So. What. Eva.

I always enjoyed '94. a friend of mine had it for SNES and we used to play it all the time. There were two of my friends that were just overtly awesome with Starks and Ewing, I mean it was just unfair how good they were.

I remember playing with Christian Laetner or however you spell it. Can't remember who the other guy was. But as with most games, I used alot of different teams. Kinda bitin me with MvC3 though, since I don't have a PS3 (but still bought it) and only have played like 3 days. But for the amount of time I played it I guess I'm halfway passable with my team of Deadpool/Ryu/Trish.

I remember in like the 6th grade we had a class field trip to Cleveland (this counted as a field trip from Columbus) and there were Segas you could rent from the hotel, and Matt Bumpus and I played all night with the Bulls.

Also, Matt Bumpus and I were the only two kids cut from that 7th grade basketball team.

    Steve Nash

One of the best point guards ever to play this game, who could still be playing into his late, late 30's/early 40's. I had trouble deciding between him & Isiah Thomas, but chose Nash ultimately because of his longevity, and shoots better from 3-point range than Thomas did.

They beat Boston!: 2009-2010 L.A. Lakers: Back-to-Back World Champions

I don't love Nash there, mainly for defense, but with the right players around him, he could be near unstoppable in a two-on-two game. Not as unstoppable as, say, Pippen and Jordan would have been, but still.

I hate it when someone I was looking at is taken at the bottom of a page right after the list is posted. Oh well.

the only duo i'd think about doing it with is stockton and malone. they were just evil together.

anyway, list update coming momentarily. and i'm with you on that one EF, it really sucks.

    EDIT

having just read up on what pippen was coupled with my memories of watching him play, he deserves to go second round to me.

on another note, i'm with inty. nash there isn't... the greatest. i can think of a couple point guards i'd take instead of him without a huge problem.

Stockton/Malone would give Jordan/Pippen a run, definitely... but I think I'd still take Jordan/Pippen there.
