I'll be there, probably for most of the day. I'll be in garb for the open house part, and then there's a movie night after.

I didn't, weekend got too busy too quick

 

Orientation is this weekend. Terry (Captain of the guards) asked me if I wanted to come down and help out running the guards through drill and such, but I don't know how this weekend is going yet, running guards through drill wasn't in my mind. I have to be at fencing on Saturday anyways. So I don't know what I'm going to do yet. If I'm there, I'm there. I kinda doubt it though.

I want to, but I don't want to, and I don't have to. It's a complicated mess going on in my mind. I think if I go there, either 1, I will miss it so much being there and HAVE to come back; 2, They will guilt-trip me into coming back, etc. etc. Terry will offer me a bigger position than I had before, yeah.

I don't know what to do...

I agree, if you show up, you'll see everyone being all excited about this year, and it will be hard to resist.

I've been thinking about Ren Faire a lot lately...

I think I might have come to the conclusion that I want to be a part of a private swordfighting act next year, instead of being in cast.

 

You'd certianly be good at that part of it!

 

Well, see, I had a talk last night with my Chess Match partner from last year, and he said it's so much easier to not be an actual part of cast, and do your own thing, the whole freedom aspect of putting no your own show, and it doesn't really have to match with what's going on during the day in the actual faire plot.

That, and I took sabre lessons from the mastermind behind faire... He knows who I am, how I can do.

And I have plenty of time to think up of something...

 

I'm planning to go this year on the Memorial Day Monday, which is May 30th. Anybody wanting to go?

Maybe, I'll have to let you know as it gets closer. Hmmm, maybe I should wander around in my armor for a couple hours.

 

We're planning on going sometime during the Faire. Not for sure as to when yet.

Just an FYI that is along the same vein...the last weekend of the faire is also the same weekend as the big Rendevous at Ft. Dechartes. I'm not for sure if we're dressing out yet, and I'm 80% sure that we're not putting up a tent this year, but we'll probably be there. My mother and stepfather are always somewhere in charge of it.

 

Can we still be counted in? (The four of us) I somehow missed this when you guys posted on the 10th...

Randy and I were talking about going on Sunday. If everyone else is going Monday I suppose I can try to go twice. I want to go with you guys too.
